7:30 PM : BANG CHAN
warnings- mentions of food, a few tears, chan overworking himself.
a/n- this is my first fic on this blog, so i’d appreciate it loads and loads if you can reblog this post or comment ! tysm for taking the time to read this!
chan is too selfless, you’ve come to realise. he’s always giving but he never recieves. he insists on making dinner even after a long day of training but when you offer to do the same he declines, he simply couldn’t do that to you. so why does he do it to himself?
you know he’s exhausting himself, you’ve picked up on it more and more over the past few days and you’re worried. he’s overworking himself to a point in which he falls asleep as soon as his head hits his pillow, he gets up early and arrives home late, and you know it’s not good for him. he gets too in his head sometimes and he needs help to break the cycle before it breaks him. so that’s what you plan on doing.
he left you in bed as per usual in the morning, giving you a fleeting kiss on the cheek while he mutters something under his breath. his dark circles were starting to show the effect the late nights were having on him. you took the day off and you’d planned on making a simple lunch for the two of you, he only had a half-day today and promised he’d come home and have lunch with you. you made sure to prepare his favourite. you’d had it for your first date at a nearby restaurant and he insisted that he preferred the way you’d make it.
by the time you’d finished making the food it had already reached 12pm and you decided to shower quickly before you lay the table, you’d made sure to dress nicely for the small occasion. and afterwards you just waited.
you waited for chan to come home for hours but he just didn’t come, every time you heard a small jostle at the door your face lit up in the hopes it was your boyfriend but he wasn’t there. you wilted a little reaching for your phone to call him when you saw an unread message from him , “hey, i’m so so sorry pretty i can’t make it to lunch today, could you keep it warm for me i’ll come home and eat it for dinner?″ .
you sigh, it wasn’t that you were disappointed . you were mostly just concerned, you’d thought this would be a chance to catch up and see if he’s alright, but you understood he was a little occupied , so you decided to keep yourself busy for the remainder of what was left of the afternoon, catching up on emails and reading some books that had been sat on your shelf for a while when you heard the keys turn in the front door.
and there he was in all his glory.
chan.
his hair a little tousled from the wind, his eyes droopy from staring at his laptop and a half- forced smile on his lips.
your heart ached a little at the sight but it was undoubtedly him.
you gave him a wave, “heya sweethe-”. he cut you off as he made a quick beeline into your arms. your hands moved to stroke his hair tentatively as he buried his face in your neck. it didn’t take a genius to identify the fact he was crying, however hard he was trying to hide it. it was best to not ask questions especially when people are in a fragile state, so you just held him.
you wrapped your arms around his torso and let him sniffle softly into your shoulder. he looked up at you with wet cheeks and a wobbly smile and you stroked his cheek affectionately. chan raised his head to kiss you and his voice cracked a little as he muttered a small thank you against your lips.
you knew he would tell you how he’s feeling when he’s ready but for now, you didn’t need any explanations.
you didn’t need to know why he missed lunch or why he stopped smiling lately, and you didn’t need to know what was really wrong.
all you needed was for him to know that you’ll be by his side until he wants to open up and let his feelings develop into words. you’ll be there until he can tell you how you can help him.

Chapter 05 : Day Two ( Jason’s Morning )
What the hell, said Jason smashing his alarm off. What time is it ? He felt like he had only just gone to bed. He hadn’t gotten home until late, or early as the non-third shift folks say, because he had to stay after work and cover his tracks from the stunt with the three dweebketeers last night.
He chuckled at the thought of their humiliation and wished he had been there for what happened afterward. Mark had called him and filled him in on what went down in the parking lot and the ride to drop them off. He had to agree with Mark, those three did have some balls on them, he had to give them props.
None of his own frat brothers would have handled a similar situation as well, he thought to himself. That still didn’t provide an answer as to why his alarm went off early. He checked his alarm clock and it was definitely set for twelve. What the hell, who would have, he paused a moment realizing he already knew the answer.
Lisa, that little bitch, why would she mess with my alarm ? Jason checked his phone out of habit while he tried to figure out why Lisa would mess with his alarm and saw that he just so happened to have a new voicemail from her too.
Hey Jay, the message began, I just wanted to let you know I had to borrow your phone while you were in the shower this morning, mine was dead. Okay, thought Jason, no big deal, why leave me a voicemail to tell me ? He continued to listen, while I was using it I happened to notice a picture folder on your app screen.
Oh crap, Jason said with impending doom. If she found that then there’s no way she wouldn’t have opened it, which means she saw all the pictures we took of the three dweebs. He was so distracted worrying about what damage Lisa could do knowing he had naked pictures of three high school boys on his phone that he missed most of the rest of the message and only caught the end.
Don’t be late, voicemail Lisa said, this afternoon, three o’clock, at the high school, room 220. What, Jason questioned, what’s at the school ? He waited for the message options so he could replay the whole thing.
Hey Jay, I just wanted to let you know I had to borrow your phone while you were in the shower this morning, mine was dead. While I was using it I happened to notice a picture folder on your app screen. It was called blackmail boys.
Ring a bell ? I don’t know what you and your frat pack are into nowadays but just to be safe I used your phone to email a copy of the whole folder to guarantee your cooperation and to prove I’m not bluffing. Now, if you don’t want pictures of you and your frat buddies molesting three naked high school boys at the mall where you work while you were working getting into the wrong hands you’d better listen carefully.
And by the way, how stupid do you have to be to take such amateurish pictures that show without question where you took them and who else was there ? Very stupid Jay, I’m disappointed. Now, as for what you will do to ensure that these pictures don’t get out is as follows.
I have an art class today after school at four o’clock. It’s a life model drawing class. A nude life model drawing class. You are going to come and replace the model we’re supposed to have. You will come to school, go to room 230, that’s where the models change, then come down the hall to room 220 and let he teacher know that you are the substitute model for today. I’ll take care of the real model. Don’t be late. This afternoon, three o’clock, at the high school, room 220.
Oh shit, muttered Jason, that little bitch. Well, if that’s all she wants, that’s not all that bad. She must be dying to see how her big brother stacks up. Fine, Jason told himself with more confidence then he actually felt, I can handle one nude model drawing class. The fact that his little sister would be in the class seemed disturbingly incestuous but whatever, if it gets Lisa to forget about the pictures on his phone he can do it and be done.
The similarity to what he and his frat brothers did to the dweebs awakened an exhibitionist rush in Jason and he found himself getting rather turned on at the fact that he would be exposing himself to a room full of high school chicks.
They’re jailbait Jason, he told himself, yeah, but it’s not like I’m gonna do anything with ‘em, he continued having a conversation with himself, just give ‘em a good show. He smiled at that, grabbing his crotch and giving it a good squeeze. Might have to take care of some business first, though, can’t have little Jason showing me up while I’m posing, Jason told himself as he stripped off the boxers he’d been sleeping in and massaged his growing erection. Oh yeah, Jason moaned, working his stiffening rod just the way he liked, grab, tug, squeeze, repeat, slow then quick.
Jason was jolted from his building euphoria by a sudden pounding at the front door. Mother f*ck, Jason exclaimed, bolting off the bed, son of a bitch, f*cking f*ck hell, who the hell is it, Jason hollered down to the door. Giving in to the realization that whoever was at the door was not going to hear him, he headed for the door, his dick bouncing around reminded him of his naked state, shit, he muttered, and grabbed a towel as he passed the linen closet.
Wrapping the towel around his waist, Jason got to the front door amidst the constant pounding and pressing of the doorbell, what the f*ck do you want, Jason was shouting as he opened the door.
Jason quickly shut up pretty quick once he saw that it was his on again off again girlfriend Melissa.
Don’t you dare talk to me that way Jason Wetherby, how dare you block my calls, and what the hell are these pictures ?
Jason was caught completely off guard and had no idea what in the world Melissa was rambling on about. Melissa, darling, calm down, what in the world are you talking about, Jason asked, trying to get her to quiet down.
She slapped him across the face, don’t play dumb with me you sick twisted bastard, she was yelling, what kind of perverted shit is this, she continued, waving her phone in front of him. If you don’t want to be with me then tell me to my face Jason, don’t block my number and send me pictures of you and naked boys ! Oh my god, I can’t believe you would do this, she was hysterical at this point.
Melissa, stop, listen to me, it’s not what you think, he tried to reason with her.
Oh my god, it’s true, that’s what they say when it’s exactly what you think, oh my god, I can’t believe this, we’re through Jason, we’re done, she said as she headed for her car.
Melissa, wait, Jason yelled after her, wait a minute. Ignoring his current state of appearance, Jason headed toward the car after her. Melissa, please, just listen a minute.
Get away from me Jason, leave me alone, she said, getting into the car, I don’t ever want to see you again.
Melissa, Jason was shouting, trying to get through to her, Melissa, listen to me.
No Jason, you listen, Melissa glared at him, go play with your little boyfriends and leave me the f*ck alone, and if you want to play with naked boys, you need to be naked too, she said as she grabbed his towel, ripping it from his body, and pulling out of the driveway.
Before Jason could process what had just happened, Melissa was already down the street waving his towel out the window. His towel, Jason suddenly realized he was now standing in the middle of his driveway butt ass naked ! Oh shit, he muttered, and bolted back for the door only to find that it had closed behind him.
Reaching for the doorknob, he found that it not only closed shut while he was in the driveway, but it was locked. He was locked out his house, naked, in the middle of the afternoon. He looked around quickly to see who might be around witnessing his embarrassment. Seeing no one in the immediate vicinity, Jason let out a quick sigh of relief and bolted around the house to get to the back yard.
With the momentary relief of at least being somewhat concealed, Jason tool a second to gather his thoughts and assess his current predicament. That little bitch, Jason said through clenched teeth, Lisa must have sent Melissa the pictures this morning and blocked her number from his phone knowing that she’d then come over here. Lisa never liked Melissa, she probably thought Melissa coming here in person and throwing the pictures in my face would be the most embarrassing way to kill two birds with one stone. Embarrass me and get rid of Melissa. If only she knew just how well she accomplished the embarrassing part. I’m sure not going to tell her, Jason said to himself as he next started to think of how he was going to get back into the house.

_ "Come on Shōta open your eyes already, do you have any idea what time it is?" You cooed, lips barely touching his earlobe.
He groaned with clear irritation and pulled you all the way on top of him, eyes still closed.
You smiled lovingly at your man and kissed him all over the face until he actually pushed you off of him and finally opened his eyes to glare at you: "Why do you have to be so annoying first thing in the morning?" He uttered in a groggy voice.
You giggled and kissed him on the nose before answering: " Because it's already late and you need to get your ass out of bed if you wanna be at school on time Mr Aizawa."
And you made sure to whisper that last part against his lips just to tease him a little.
Your relationship with him started a little more than two years ago. Being a pro hero and a UA teacher yourself, you two got closer really fast after you started working with him. And it was shortly afterwards that you gathered your courage and confessed your feelings half expecting him to mock you or to at least let you down gently, but when he pulled you closer and kissed your cheek while muttering "I like you too kitten" against your skin, you were already on cloud nine and it took you a while to finally realize that: Yes! This gorgeous man is yours, and you are his.
And here you are, two years later, deeply in love and unable to stay away from each other..
If only he would get his ass out of bed so you could go to work on time for a change.
You rushed to your classroom, already ten minutes late for your students, leaving your sluggish unfazed boyfriend behind you.
It was a regular day for the most part, except for what Aizawa said to you during your lunch break: _ "Hey listen honey, there is something I need to talk to you about."
You thought nothing of it at first, but when he asked you to wait until you were home that evening, you got a little anxious.
Your afternoon classes went by exaustingly slow, and you could barely wait to hear what your boyfriend had to say to you.
So as soon as you two entered your appartement, you blurted it out:
_ "Shōta, please tell me what's going on! I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole afternoon."
He never meant to worry you, so seeing you distressed made him feel bad.
_ "Don't be nervous sweetheart, it's nothing bad trust me." He reassured you between kisses placed on your lips and cheeks.
He knew exactly how to ease your mind.
A couple of hours later, you two were getting ready for bed after finishing with dinner and shower.
You glanced at your boyfriend to notice an unusual discomfort.
_ "Shōta, are you ready to talk now? You said it was nothing bad but your face says otherwise.. Are you breaking up with me?" You choked out your words and tried your hardest not to tear up. You couldn't, neither did you want to imagine your life without him.
His eyes widened in shock, and he was speechless for a moment until he saw you failing to keep your tears at bay. He flew to your side and took you in his arms:
_ "No no no honey, what were you thinking? That's not it trust me, I would never leave you no matter what.. Shit I messed up." He muttered the last few words and you would've missed it if he wasn't speaking against your ear.
You pulled away, confused, attempting to comprehend what was going on in your boyfriend's head. He sighed and dropped to one knee, and you froze.
_ "Y/n, my love, my everything. When I wake up in the morning with you in my arms, I wonder if it's just a dream. But your touch and your scent and your little whimpers make it all real, and it's something that I would never give up. My days with you have been the happiest, you make me a better person and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.. so, will you marry me?" He was unusually bashful when he pulled out the ring and presented it to you: "It's nothing fancy, I didn't know which one to pick but..." He was cut off with your whole body toppling over him.
_ "Yes yes yes! Shōta I will marry you!" Your tears and giggles mixed together as you struggled to wrap your head around what just happened.
_ "Good, shall we go to bed then Mrs Aizawa?" He whispered against your neck and you unintentionally moaned hearing your new title.
He sat up and took your hand in his, gently putting the ring on your finger before pecking it.
You beamed looking at your hand and kissed him deeply. You felt yourself levitating before your back hit the sheets, and you never broke the kiss.
His hands moved under your shirt and traveled up your sides, softly stroking your skin and leaving goosebumps behind.
Your back arched and you ran your fingers through his hair as you felt his growing bulge against your thigh.
His lips left yours and you whimpered.
_ "Patience babe." He murmured softly, leaving wet kisses along your jawline and down your neck.
His sneaky hands reached your bra and swiftly unhooked it to free your breasts from their confinement. You instinctively lifted your arms allowing him to release you from your garments.
He sat up licking his lips and admiring the sight before him. You were self-conscious under his piercing eyes.
_ "St.. stop, don't look."
_ "I can't help it darling, You're beautiful."
Your face only grew redder and he smiled at how easy it was for him to fluster you.
You looked up and reached out grabbing his shirt and silently asking him to get rid of it.
He happily complied removing the piece of clothing and immediately went back to claim your lips in a heated kiss.
You pulled him flush against your body, and whimpered at the feeling of his chest hair tickling your skin.
Heat stared pooling between your thighs and you pushed your hips up in a desperate attempt to feel his erection.
He smirked against your lips and rolled his hips painfully slow, as your heaving chest hopelessly announced your growing desire.
He moved down to your newly marked neck and abused it even more, sucking and biting your sensitive skin.
His thumbs were hooked in your shorts, and with one swift move, he pulled them down and off along with your soaking panties.
He gave you no time to react and licked his way down to your breasts, twirling his tongue around each nipple and softly nibbling them.
You were at his mercy, unable to do anything but throw your head back in ecstasy and tangle your fingers in his hair, pulling it each time his mouth or hands went a little too frisky.
He kissed down your belly, and the mixture of his soft lips and gruff stubble drove you insane.
_ "Shōta.. aaahhh!" You cried out when he finally reached your wet winking pussy. He pecked your lower lips before licking a perfect stripe along your clit. Your hands left his hair to grab the bedsheets underneath you, and you bit down on your lip to keep yourself from crying out his name.
His tongue darted out breaching your entrance and you lost it.
_ "Don't stop! Shōta please I'm gonna cum!" And he did as you asked.
He knew exactly how to move inside your core licking the roof of your cervix and driving you over the edge with ease.
He leaned back smirking, licking his glistening lips and swallowing your juices.
_ "Delicious."
The jerk. He enjoyed seeing you marked, flushed, and agitated. He wanted to tease you more, but your pleading eyes and whimpering voice made it impossible for him to keep his dick out of your heat for much longer.
He removed his pants and lowered his boxers just enough to free his throbbing cock, and you unconsciously bit your lips and reached out to encircle his length.
You moved your hand slowly watching your man's face contort in pleasure as his sexy groans filled the room. It was so arousing to know that your touch caused all that, and you felt your pussy throbbing again, hungry to be filled.
He gently removed your hand off of him and situated himself right before your leaking entrance.
_ "Ready for me love?" His voice was soft and you nodded impatiently reaching out to wrap your arms around his neck.
He pushed in gently opening you up and you both moaned at the feeling.
His pace was slow and deep and he hit you right where he knew you loved it.
You dug your nails in his flesh and cried out his name as he kept rolling his hips against yours.
He detached his lips from your -now discolored collarbone- and looked you in the eyes for a moment before kissing your lips.
His tongue danced around your own, and his teeth nibbled on your lower lip before sucking hard.
He swallowed all your moans and whines and his hands held your hips still as he kept ramming deep inside of you.
You were nearing your orgasm, as was he.
His thrusts became faster and more erratic, and it didn't take much longer for you to squeeze him hard and cry out his name as you creamed around his cock.
Your trembling from and fluttering walls brought him to his own orgasm. He pulled out groaning and came all over your belly before collapsing on top of you.
You both stayed quiet for a while, trying to stabilize your breathing. You traced his arms with your shaky fingertips and kissed his temple.
You felt him smiling against your shoulder before uttering in a raspy voice: "I love you y/n."
It felt like a dream, but the ring hugging your finger made it all real. He did propose to you, and you did say "yes".
You smiled happily looking at your hand: "I love you too Shōta."

There was nothing like having a baby. You were told that once you had a little one, your life would change and you would never understand the absolute love you have for this tiny human you'd made. When you and Sam got pregnant with your daughter, he was infatuated with your naked body. The tummy and the thick thighs and the ever growing breasts. Not that you yourself particularly minded being nude around your fiancè or just in general, especially when it just so happened that in the worst weeks of your pregnancy you'd be in the middle of summer.
When your belly popped towards the bottom, blossoming up the further you got in your pregnancy, Sam lost his mind. He loved the bump and when his hands wandered, it's often where they ended up. More than anything, Sam appreciated the changes your body went through, especially the stretch marks around your thighs, hips, and belly. The boy was obsessed. That's why his Instagram blew up with pictures of your belly, pictures from the baby shower, of the nursery, of her closet, her name board above the crib, and eventually her when she arrived in the beginning of August.
Virginia Elizabeth was what you named her and Sam, just as much as when she was in your belly, was obsessed with her. She was constantly in his arms and he admired each one of her little features on the daily, dressing her, feeding her (if you couldn't of course), changing her, rocking her to sleep. He was an all around great father.
Especially because of the pain and exhaustion he inevitably and guiltily felt he inflicted on you. Your bump remained for a few weeks, but what it left, Sam saw, made you slightly depressed. Your feet were still swollen, your breasts were huge but your belly was starting to sag, and the bleeding was ridiculous. You slept most of the time because of the constant milk production and late nights, but Sam didn't mind taking Virginia out into the living room and kitchen, especially if his brothers were over to see their baby girl.
However, after about a month you'd gotten somewhat used to being a mom and feeding her late at night with Sam right there at your side, giddy smile on his face the entire time at the look of his girls. He loved introducing you as his girls and going to see family and friends with your bubbly little girl in his arms. But something that seemed to remain after all of it was the nudity in your house.
Sam found that most times he came to find you napping, you were nude beneath the blanket. Not that he minded. Easy access to the skin of your back and belly and thighs. He actually loved the sight and hoped that when he went back to culinary school and eventually went to work as a chef in one of your local restaurants, you'd still be like that, something to look forward to when he climbed into bed with you.
With a day off from work but not from school, Sam was off in the afternoon and back before the sun started to set, walking up the stoop with a smile on his face. Even a few hours spent away from his girls was torturous. Shouldering the door open, he drops his bag just inside, kicking his shoes off just beside it,
"Babe?" He calls. There's no reply, a frown covering Sam's face as he walks towards the nursery. He pauses in the doorway of your bedroom when he sees you, smiling to himself. You stand just before your bed, nude with your little girl, only clad in a diaper, in your arms. Your eyes are closed as you sway from side to side, the little one whimpering softly. Walking into the room, Sam stands with his hands on his hips,
"Look at you two." He says softly. You open your eyes slowly, glancing at him. His smile is so wide you don't know how it fits on his face. He takes a deep, breathless like breath, looking you over, "You two are so perfect." He mumbles before he walks forward again, coming to stand behind you. His hands rest over your hips, lips pressed to your temple,
"You smell like biscuits." You murmur softly, not faltering in the swaying, even as you lean back against his chest. He chuckles softly,
"Orange cardamom biscuits. They'd go good with your tea, I'll have to make them sometime for you." He explains softly. You nod, lips pressing against Virginia's cheek. Her little face is turned up towards the ceiling, mouth hanging open as she fights sleep. You sigh,
"I uhh, I took a shower, put her in that little bouncy thing just outside the shower and she got fussy cause it was hot in the bathroom. So I took her out of her onesie and was holding her and I just... her skin on mine felt amazing. Like yours does. And I miss her. I miss..." Sam can see the tears in your eyes now, "I miss my baby bump and being in the hospital smelling that newborn smell and all that." You tell him. He nods,
"Its the postpartum peach. You know it'll pass and you'll have so much fun with her when she's older. Plus... the older she gets, the closer we are to havin another one. More of that newborn smell." He reasons. The look you throw him over your shoulder makes him swallow,
"Alright... yeah, still traumatized from her birth, got it but... you don't have to be so upset. She's still little and perfect... both my girls are, and for the next... what, year, that won't change. She'll get nice and chunky and when she changes, we'll so be ready for it. She'll get giggly and fun and you'll love it. I know you will babe." He reassures. You nod,
"I know I just can't help it. It feels like someone else is controlling my life, my emotions. I'm sorry."
"You don't have to apologize Y/N. Your body, your mind are going through a lot of changes. You're maturing and all that. I'm not upset about it. The crying, from you or her doesn't bother me. At least there's some need for me." He half jokes. You smile, looking down at your baby girl. He sighs,
"I'm really likin this naked thing with you though." He mutters, kissing your shoulder as he molds your hips in his hands. You hum,
"Sometimes I'm just too lazy to get dressed, other times it's just too hot." You reason. Sam nods,
"I like it."
"Oh yeah?" He nods when you glance up at him, "Maybe you should join the party then. I wanna stare at her and she likes daddy's chest." He doesn't even need you to finish the before he's stripping from the grease and oil stained shirt and pants, leaving them in a pile on the floor as you sit at the edge of the bed. You scoot to your side, letting Sam lay down before you before you lay Virginia over his chest. He mumbles incoherently down at her, kissing the top of her head as he strokes down her back. He purrs which makes her whimper, the motion further lulling her to sleep. He glances over at you when you prop your head up on your hand,
"You're a great father Sam. You've always been an awkward little bean but... when it comes to V, you do amazing." He chuckles softly,
"Thanks Y/N/N. You two... mean the world." He admits, rubbing up and down your baby's back softly. You sigh, brushing his unruly curls aside,
"I'm just glad that I don't have to cook. The food you make is excellent and you like doing it and baby loves it too." He laughs again,
"And that's all that matters is making you both happy." He murmurs. There's a silence that permeates between you for a moment before you stand, finding the thin robe you wear all the time if it genuinely is too hot to wear anything else,
"What was this... thing you were saying about orange cardamom biscuits?" You ask with a cock of your eyebrow. He smiles wide, tip of his tongue caught between his teeth,
"I'm starting to think ALL you use me for is food."
"I feed your little girl from my own body like eight times a day. The LEAST you could do is make bomb fucking food Holland." He hums after a moment, eyes averted from yours and to the little girl laid across his chest. He glances back up,
"Can we just... have a little longer of this moment? Just a pretty little family before I'm whisked away to slave over a stove." He jokes. After a moment of staring at each other, you sigh, trying to fight your smile before you near the bed again, sitting at his side,
"Fine Samuel. But only because you're pretty." You lean in to kiss his nose, kissing your baby girl's head just below his chin, "And you too little miss. I just hope you at least get something from me for all the pain and suffering I went through getting you here." Sam reaches up to tuck hair behind your ear,
"You're a great mumma already. I have no doubt that she'll be witty and perfectly perfect. With a mum like you she'll always know she can never disappoint us with whatever decision or life choice she makes. You'll make sure of it and that's what matters. Raising a decent fucking human being." He says with such passion in his eyes you think you'll faint. You stare at him for another moment before sighing,
"I love you more than anything on this earth Samuel Holland. Our little family is just perfect right now." You tell him. Leaning up to kiss you, he sighs,
"Love my girls in all of their beautiful nudity. Love skin to skin." He murmurs. You lay your head against his shoulder, watching your girl sleep. Of course pregnancy and motherhood was difficult, but your fiancè made it so much better and your baby girl was everything and more for the both of you.

Dr. Holland
Tom Holland x Sister
Summary: Tom’s big sister is the hardest working person he knows. He is extremely proud of her and he can’t stop himself from talking about her during an interview.
Warnings: Overworked, maybe some angst, loving siblings, mentions of doctor work
MASTERLIST
Tom sighed as he got a text from you saying that you were scheduled to work the one week he was home. Another message followed saying you only had to work three days instead of the normal five. You were an emergency room doctor and you worked a lot. Tom was proud of his older sister. She worked her but off through medical school to get where she was. Now she was working her butt off to get the position you really wanted, Pediatric Oncologist.
Tom had been filming Spider-Man in America when you were going through medical school. You would call him to keep you company while you were studying. And when time was on his side, he would quiz you. Tom never thought he was smart enough to become a doctor, but he knew enough to get by now.
It was early Wednesday morning when you pulled up at Tom’s house. You had gotten off work at 6am and stopped by your house to shower and change clothes. Tom had texted you last night that he had a few Zoom interviews this afternoon that would take a few hours of his time. Tom told you that you were free to sleep in his room after breakfast. But with only a few days with your brother, you decided you could sleep at night when they sleep.
You took the key Tom gave you for when you house sit and let yourself in. The house was quiet so you knew everyone was still asleep. You moved towards the kitchen. You sat your purse down and went straight to the coffee machine. Normally you would drink tea, but after a long night and soon to be long day, you needed all the help you could get to stay awake. While waiting on the coffee to be made, you took out all the pans and ingredients you would need to make breakfast. You decided to make breakfast burritos since those were your favorite and you didn’t get them often.
Halfway through cooking the sausage, bacon, and eggs, Tom walked in rubbing the sleep from his eyes, his hair flying every which way. He walked over to you and gave you a big hug. You smiled into his chest.
“Still short, I see.” Tom said with sleep lacing his voice.
“Still rude, I see.” You said back.
Tom squeezed you tighter, “I missed you.”
“Missed you to bubs.” You pulled back and watched him walk towards the coffee pot. You gave a small laugh and turned back to what was at hand.
“How’s the hospital been?” He asked as he sat on the counter next to the stove so he could see your face while he talked to you.
“It’s been good. Being in the ER means inconsistent hours and long shifts. Dr. Hamilton is planning on retiring in the next few months and he's told them my name as a replacement. Hopefully that works out so I can finally be a Pediatric Oncologist.” You said.
“I know you’ll get it and you'll be the best at your job.” Tom said matter of fact.
“Thanks. I hope I get it. If not, I may have to switch hospitals. I don’t think I can stay in the ER. I had night shifts this week. Day shifts last week. I went from day to night on Sunday. I had six hours off to rest since they made me work this weekend. They messed up the schedule but if I asked for Sunday night off, they were going to make me work the rest of the week.” You said taking all the food you just made to the island. Tom followed you and sat at the counter. You started fixing his burrito.
“I can make my own you know?” He said with a laugh. “But honestly. Stick it out. No one is more deserving of that position than you. You care for the kids and you know exactly what you are doing. Everything will work out. I’m so proud of you. Don’t know if I tell you that enough, but I am.”
“Thanks Tom.” You smiled at him. After making your burritos, you continued to talk about everything in your lives. He caught you up on the movies he was doing. He explained what the interviews were for. You just stared at him in awe as you saw the passionate look in his eyes when talking about acting.
A few hours after breakfast, you went to sit with Tom in his office. You laid out on the couch joking with him before his interview. Tom’s phone rang and he saw that it was his manager so he answered. Ten minutes later when he hung up he looked at you asleep on the couch. He stood up and grabbed the blanket and laid it across you. He knew that you would be out the whole time he did interviews as long as he didn’t make any sudden sounds. Tom was grateful the call through his computer rang through his AirPods. That sound would have woken you up and he knows you need sleep. Tom clicked the green answer button and was met with a smiling reporter.
“Hello Tom. How are you today?” The reporter asked.
“I’m doing great. How about yourself?” Tom asked back. Talking quieter than he normally would for something like this. His eyes drifted up to you to see if you moved and he didn’t even see you flinch.
“I’m doing great. Thank you for asking. So my name is Gerald. I’m with Buzzfeed. And I wanted to start this interview off asking what you’ve been up to these last few months.”
“Well, I’ve been in Germany working on a movie. Can’t go into detail just yet about it, but news will be dropping soon.” Tom checked one more time on you before he moved his full attention onto Gerald. “Sorry if I’m talking quieter than usual. My sister is asleep on my office couch. She’s been working like crazy lately so I didn’t have the heart to wake her.”
“Your volume is perfectly fine. If you don’t mind me asking, what does your sister do? We know about your other brothers since they are more involved in your line of work. They even travel with you. But we don’t really know a lot about your sister.” Gerald asked.
“My sister is amazing. Her name is Y/N. She’s a few years older than me. She is currently a doctor at one of the hospitals here in London. She’s been an emergency doctor but she is working towards becoming a Pediatric Oncologist.”
“That sounds fancy. What is that?” He asked.
“It’s a doctor that treats children with cancer. Y/N has worked so hard to get to that point. She’s so caring and loving and knows so much that I think she would be the perfect fit in any hospital in that position.”
“You sound proud of her.” Gerald said, pointing out the fact.
“I’m incredibly proud of her. She is just so amazing at everything but I was in the front row watching her work to this point. I wasn’t ever great at school and she was always working for those perfect grades. She would let me study with her so she could help when I needed it. I was her first call when she was accepted into med school. I remember crying when she told me that because I knew the work she had put in during undergrad to get there.” Tom said as he looked up at you. You were still sleeping soundly and Tom smiled at that.
“When I was filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, she would call me. It would be six or seven o’clock at night where I was and so I knew it was around midnight her time. She just wanted my company while she studied. She was so used to us working together she needed me there to help concentrate. She would email me her note cards and I would spend hours quizzing her. We were close before that, but we were almost inseparable after that. She’s my big sister and I love her and I’m so, so proud of her.”
“It sounds like it. It’s refreshing hearing you say such great things about your sister. I bet the whole family is proud of the both of you.” Gerald added.
“I know we are all proud of Y/N. For me, I know my family is proud, but what I do doesn’t even come close to what she does. After not seeing her for months due to COVID, any good I do, will never compare to the good she does.” Tom said thinking of those awful months you refused to see your family so you didn’t put them at risk.
“Well, tell her we appreciate the work she does. We would love to meet her sometime. You should bring her around a set or press tour sometime.”
Tom laughed. “I’ll have to try. She always turns me down though. Maybe if I film in London. But she does always make it to my premieres. Thankfully we almost always have one here in London, so it’s easier for her, but she’s made the trip to LA a couple of times.”
“Can’t wait to meet her one day.” Tom smiled at Gerald. “So you said you’ve been in Germany…”
Gerald continued with his interview. Once he was finished with that one he went right into the next. He spent three hours doing interviews and you never woke up once. He was grateful you were getting rest. When the final interview ended, Tom went over to you and gently picked you up. You stirred in his arms.
“Tom?” You said tiredly and confused. “Where are you taking me?”
“My room. You need more sleep and I need a nap. We can go out for dinner afterwards.” He said as he sat you on his bed. He walked to the other side.
“Okay.” You said rolling over towards him. “I love you bubs.” You whispered. Tom wrapped you in his arms and kissed you on the head.
“Love you too y/n/n.” He whispered back before you both fell asleep.

(reader is from asgard) After Loki faked his death, he transforms into the smallest creature and watches over the avengers tower only to see his childhood only friend and crush fall in depression. The others try to help but her anger is so much for her that she almost destroys everything with the powers she didn't knew she had. She admits to them how much she loved him and only then he realizes. I can't think of an ending. Also, sorry if this is too specific!
Word count: 2.026 words A/N: This story is set between Loki’s fake death in Thor 2 and the end of the movie. Hope you like it! Warning: Angst
Watching over you You were stirring in your sleep again. Something you did often lately. From behind your closed eyes tears started to flow over your cheeks, wetting the pillow underneath you. Right now, Loki wanted nothing more than to wake you and hold you close to him, hoping to comfort you. Tell you that everything is going to be okay. But he couldn’t do any of that. He was dead, or at least that is what everyone thinks. Plus, he had to change back to himself, and he couldn’t risk that either. It was safer to stay in this form. He wasn’t even supposed to be here, he should be in Asgard, planning the best moment to strike against Odin. But he couldn’t help himself, he had to see how you were doing. Even with dark circles under your eyes and in lazy/comfortable clothes, you still were beautiful to him. Something he would have told you, he wanted to tell you for so long, but every time you looked at him his tongue had failed him. You finally fell back in a peaceful slumber. Loki decided he would stay for one more night and then get to work. He flew to the ceiling above you, looked one more time at you sleeping form, before falling asleep himself.
Next morning
The sun was already shining brightly trough the windows. Loki had been watching you all morning. You hadn’t bothered setting an alarm clock, and when you woke up you grunted and turned around. There was a knock on the door.“(Y/N), time to get out of bed!” Natasha said. When you didn’t respond she entered the bedroom. It was her day today. You didn’t know it, you hadn’t even noticed a pattern. But some of the Avengers divided days among them to look after you. They were worried about the state you were in. Barely coming out of your room, not eating, not showering, and not wanting to talk about it. Not everyone agreed to it, however. Since not all people could understand that it was losing him what was causing you to act this way. To be honest, Loki never anticipated that you would be this much affected by his death. The two of you were friends since you were kids. You were one of the few people that somehow got him to open up. It didn’t take long to develop a crush on you, but he wasn’t the only one. A lot of guys in Asgard had, how could they not? You were beautiful, kind, patient, and the way you laughed sounded like Valhalla itself. Even tough you had a lot of friends, you always made time for him. You truly were the kindest person he had ever met.
Loki’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard you yell. “Just leave me alone!” He was shocked. In all the time that he’d known you, he never heard you yell. You never even raised your voice. Always staying calm, because no matter how angry you were ‘raising your voice was a sign for people that you weren’t in control of yourself anymore’ you once said to him. Natasha somehow got you to agree to get out of bed. The Widow is rather good in manipulation, Loki had to admit. “Once you’re ready, meet me in the training room. Oh, and don’t forget to open a window. You’re starting to attract flies.” Natasha said while she was leaving your room. You turned around and were staring at the fly on your ceiling for a few minutes. Loki thought you were about to cry again, but you held back your tears and got out of bed. If only you knew it was him on the ceiling.
Once you were gone, Loki in his fly-form, buzzed towards the training room too. Settling on the top of a punching bag, giving him an excellent view over the whole room. Your training with Natasha was hilarious to watch. He loved to watch you kick someone’s ass, and as a trained warrior Natasha didn’t stand much of a chance. Tough she held up against you longer than Loki would have guessed. “So, are you liking Earth, or ehm.. Midgard as you say it, so far?” Natasha asked you. “It’s fine” you replied rather uninterested in engaging in a conversation. “Thor hoped bringing you here would distract you a bit. Is it working?” Natasha went on. “Look, I get what you all are trying to do. And it’s not that I’m ungrateful, but I just want to be alone right now” you replied while making your way to the exit. “(Y/N), we can help you” Natasha tried one last time. When you turned back Loki saw different emotions on your face. It went quickly, but he noticed the sad expression with tears forming in your eyes. You blinked to vanish the tears, and your expression changed from sad to angry, and he swore that in between he saw regret. Why regret? Regret for what? he wondered. “Stop, just stop okay. You all hated him, so don’t for a second pretend that you even care” you spat back, angrily slamming the door on your way out.
The rest of the afternoon, you got your wish. Nobody bothered to see how you were doing or to get you out of bed again. This angered Loki much, but then again it was his fault you were feeling this way. While you were crying, Loki was lost in thought again. He should, he really should go back to Asgard after today. But how could he, knowing you were hurting. He couldn’t leave you like this, but he also couldn’t bare to watch it for much longer. If he knew how much his death would affect you, he would have thought of another plan to avoid going back to his cell. Even when he was locked up, you visited him often. You weren’t angry with him, just glad he was still alive. To his surprise you got guards to agree to let you into his cell. Playing games, reading, and laughing together. He thought he would never see you again after his failed attempt to rule Midgard. Even tough he never truly wanted to rule Midgard, but had to fulfil his assignment, and saw no way of escaping his faith. That was something he couldn’t tell people. He had almost told you, the first time you visited. He really wanted to, he couldn’t stand the thought of you thinking of him like everybody else did. But he was struggling with the words and then the guards came to tell the two of you, that the visiting time was over. Before you left his cell you gave him a kiss on his cheek. “When you’re ready to tell me, I’ll be there” you had whispered. That kiss on his cheek was the best moment of his life.
In the end of the afternoon the Soldier had entered your room. He convinced you to get out of bed and took you to the living room. Loki, of course, flying right behind the two of you. Most of the team was already sitting in the living room. Thor was still on Asgard, and Loki noticed that Tony and Clint were also missing. You sat down, staring at the floor. “(Y/N), we really think you should get some professional help. We are getting worried about you” Steve began this little intervention. He was getting on and on about mental health, grief, and your sudden anger outbursts. If Loki were able in this form he would have rolled his eyes at the boring lecture. Before you got a chance to reply that door of the living room burst open. A very intoxicated Tony walked through them, going straight to the bar to pour himself another drink. I should have killed that men when I had the chance Loki thought.
Steve cleared his throat “Do you mind?” he said, clearly irritated by Tony’s behaviour. “Come on, is she still moping around because he’s dead” You looked up and gave Tony a murderous look. “Tony, stay out of this” Natasha warned him. Instead of taking her warning, Tony walked towards the group. “Come on, we all know the world is a better place without him” he continued. You stood up from your chair, balling your fists. “It’s not. Now, shut up” you yelled. “He was arrogant, egotistic, a murderer and just evil” Tony said while raising his voice. “Why would you even miss him? Why would anyone even care?” The anger was flaring through your eyes. At this point you were screaming. “He was not perfect, but who is?! He was kind, funny and incredibly smart. And given what he had to deal with in his life he is a better man than you ever could be!” You fell back in your chair, and noticed the tears falling from your face.
There was a long silence. Then Natasha broke it “You were in love with him” she said. Everyone looked at you. Loki began to grow very nervous and was holding his breath, waiting for you to react. “I am” you whispered. “Did he know?” she asked. “I- eh, no… Right before he and Thor would leave I wanted to tell him. But I got scared and decided to tell him afterwards.. and now..” you cried. “Maybe if I had, he would have stayed, or things would be different” you went on. Loki couldn’t believe what he was hearing. You were in love with HIM? Why? How long? And why hadn’t he noticed or told you that he felt the same way? He really was the stupidest man alive right now. Wait, what? You’re blaming yourself for his death?
“How could anyone ever love that monster?” Tony said. Before Loki could keep track of his thoughts you were on your feet. A sudden energy blast flew across the room, knocking Tony to the wall, he was laying unconsciousness on the ground. Everyone, including you and Loki, were in complete shock. Bruce went to Tony and confirmed that he was okay. “You have powers?” Steve asked. You were standing in pure shock, staring at your hands. Loki was also in shock, he recognized that kind of magic. It was the same as his. All this time he’d known you, he never sensed that you had magic. How could he never have known all these things about you? How could he have been so stupid? So blind? You ran towards your room and Loki flew as fast as he could. Maybe he should reveal himself, after all the only other known person for her magic was his mother. But she wasn’t alive anymore. He was, he could teach you everything he knows. Before he had a chance to decide the Soldier walked in your room.
“(Y/N), are you okay?” he asked. Stupid question, she thinks the person she loves is dead, she just discovered she has magic, a underappreciated trait from where she’s from and is currently crying Loki thought. After your stopped crying you finally spoke up. “How’s Tony doing?” you asked meekly. Loki couldn’t believe that you would even consider his wellbeing, but also loved you for it. “He will be fine, he had it coming. He is an ass when he is that drunk” Steve said. “Thor comes in next week, and we will figure something out. Maybe he knows someone who can teach you” he went on. “Do you guys want me to go back to Asgard?” you asked. Steve gave you a reassuring smile “You’re welcome for as long as you like” he said. You started to cry again, and he put his arms around you, holding you close. Loki felt jealousy stirring inside him. He wanted to be the one who could hold you in his arms. Not being able to watch anymore he flew away. He had work to do. He had a throne to conquer and think how he was going to make up for everything he is putting you through. He couldn’t wait to have you rule by his side. His queen.

The moodboard-goddess @flowers-in-your-hayr is such a talent. Thank you soo much!
a/n: To those who like BDSM, this is your chapter! The same as always, english is not my first language, so sorry for mistakes.
Pairing: ALEX x Reader x MARCO
Words: 2336
Spotify: Kiana Ledé & Jacquees - Only Fan
Warning: +18, NSFW, smut, soft BDSM, threesome
Summary: You plunge into a new life. This courage makes you do far more than you thought.
Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III
Almost five months passed, and you haven't seen Alex yet. At first it was planned that he would come to visit you, but he had a few shoots and no time to make a stopover at your place. Ana has broken off contact with Marco and got back together with her ex-boyfriend. The distance has burdened her.
You got a unplanned spring break and decided to fly to Denmark and surprise Alex. You knew he would be home either the same day or the next day. In the worst case scenario, you would just sit in front of the front door and wait for him or Marco to come home.
You packed your things and took the train to the airport. Your flight was delayed, and you got to their home at almost 10pm. You stood in front of the door and didn't dare to ring the bell; your legs were shaking so badly that you could not stand up straight.
Alex opened the door and you hand him the food."Did someone order sushi?"
,,What?!!’’ Alex was stunned, his chin dropped.
,, Is this real? No way elskede, this can't be true!!''. You jumped at him and he almost fell over. He was overjoyed and couldn't stop kissing you.
"Maarco! Come here, see who's here!” Yelled Alex. Marco came out of the bathroom and only had his shorts on.
,, Heeej, what are you doing here?! You are crazy, girl. So good to see you'' He grinned and shook his head. You were surprised because he had no intention of hugging you. You saw someone get up from the sofa. A beautiful blonde looked at you with a smiling face.
,, Hi, I'm Clara''. Her short pants and crop top showed more of her body than you would have liked. You looked at Marco and he immediately felt uncomfortable.
“This is a good friend of Marco. And she's my girlfriend Y / N'' Alex pointed to you. You nodded to her and said ,,Hi’’ without any emotions. You wanted her to know that you would never become friends.
Alex helped you put your things in his closet and brought the food into the kitchen. You knew that sushi was his favorite food. He asked you to sit down and served you a glass of wine.
"Thank you so much for the sushi, I love it! So tell me, how long are you going to stay?" Marco heard the question and looked directly in your direction.
,,Ehm…I have to tell you something. I was actually thinking of moving here. I have already enrolled in a Danish course. And I will start working here in the hospital in two months’’. You told him that you quit your apartment and registered yourself in Copenhagen.
"So even if you don't want me here, I'll stay in Copenhagen" did you comment at the end. Alex was impressed by your initiative.
,,You didn't have to fly back the last time and you know that’’
"But don't worry, I'll find my own apartment as soon as possible and then move out."
"I don't think so, but we'll talk about that later" insisted Alex.
It was late and you were tired, you put the empty glass of wine in the kitchen and took a shower. The shower was at the end of the long corridor, so you had to walk past the guest room and Marco's room. You forgot your bathrobe in the room, so you wrapped the bath towel around you and ran back. The towel was too small so you hoped that nobody would notice. Alex was already waiting for you.
Suddenly someone grabbed your wrist and pulled you back.
"Wait!" Marco pushed your hair aside with his nose and kissed the back of your neck.
"I missed you baby". You turned around but he was holding your hand so tight that you couldn't run away.
"NO" you said quietly in a rough tone. Marco put his hand under your bathrobe and pulled you closer to him.
"You are so hot baby", you rejected his kiss.
"Let go of my arm Marco!" He noticed you said it seriously and he let you go.
**********
,,You don't know how I missed you, that was an agony. I couldn't even talk to you that much on the phone properly because of all your shifts.’’ Alex complained.
You actually wanted to ask him if he's kidding you like Marco. Marco promised to wait for you and in the end he didn't do it, but you couldn't because Alex didn't know anything about your sex, so you quickly forgot about it.
You were so horny, such a long time without a man in your bed. You were already tired of satisfying yourself. You couldn't wait any longer and dropped your bath towel. You sat on him and put his hands on your ass. You could feel that his cock was already hard. You rubbed it with your pussy and pushed his underpants down so that his cock jumped out. You took it in your hand and slowly shoved it into your pussy. You had to ride him slowly at the beginning because it hurt you a little. Alex looked up at you and closed his eyes. You could see he was enjoying that.
"Moan my name" he followed your command.
,,Louder!’’. you wanted Marco to hear it. You felt a heat inside you, that made you cum. You breathed into his mouth and felt this magnetism between you. Seeing your pleasured face made him even more horny. He climaxed and bit your chin.
Alex had to go to set early the next day, so you fell asleep quickly afterwards.
*********
In the morning you didn't even notice that he had already left. The apartment was very quiet, and you didn't see anyone. You were glad you didn't have to see this chick. You took your coffee and enjoyed the morning sunshine on the balcony. The sun's rays covered the cold, so you could keep your lace-trimmed nightgown on.
,,You don't know how happy I am to see you again baby I missed the smell of your skin so much.’’ Marco had his face right next to your neck and smelled your hair. You pushed him away.
“What do you mean, you missed me. You found a barbie who takes care of you.You couldn't miss me. You are such a liar. Don't you dare touch me again.’’You yelled at him and turned away from him. He held you back on your forearm so you couldn't go away.
"Hey, listen, I went crazy, I thought you'd never come back. You always spoke to Alex on the phone and never asked for me. What should I have done? I've already broken up with her. She won't come back.’’
You were so close to his lips, you knew it wouldn't stop at a kiss, so you didn't dare. You were hoping he would make this decision for you. Marco grabbed your ass, lifted you up carried you into the apartment. You couldn't resist him. He was very dominant with you in contrast to Alex. He put your panties aside and stroked your clit, you were already wet. Your legs were around his waist, until his cock found his way in your pussy.
,,Baby harder’’ You wanted him to be rougher. It made the whole thing more intense. Beeing discovered by alex was like a thrill for you. His hips smacked against your thights. Marco knew exactly when to act harsh to let you cum.
The mood after sex was intimate, as if you had known each other for years, it gave you a feeling of security.
************
When you went home in the afternoon after the Danish course, both were sitting at home and playing video games. You sat between them, but they paid no attention to you. So, you got up again and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
"I'll help you," said Alex to you and took the knife away from you. You took the chance and took a shower.
"Ouch, I cut myself. Where's my nurse?! '' Alex wanted you to look at the wound. You had to grin because the cut was barely visible.
"You have to kiss it for it to heal." and held out his finger to you. You looked him in the eyes and your tongue ran all over his finger. You felt how it made him horny. You sucked his finger and then let his hand slip under your bra, so he could feel your hard nipples. Marco was still sitting on the couch, but could exactly hear what was going on.
,, I have a surprise for you’’. Alex blindfolded you and took you into a room. You took small steps because you were afraid of falling or running into a wall.
,,Come on elskede, trust me.” He put his hands on your shoulders and pushed you down. You lay on the bed with your legs bent. Shortly afterwards you heard a "click" on your wrists.
He slowly marked a trail of kisses, while you were tied to bed, just before your pussy he stopped.
"Do you like it?" it was Marco's voice and you were briefly confused. After he kissed you, you knew perfectly well that it was him. Your tongues pressed together in a hot openmouthed kiss. He pulled off your blindfold and you saw both lying next to you. Alex had already taken off his clothes and only had his pants on.
“I told him about us. I told him what we did in the disco and about sex in the morning.” You were shocked and scared of Alex's reaction. You knew it had to be said, but you weren't prepared at all.
,,We don't want to intimidate you, but we could both make you happy.'' said Marco. You looked shyly at Alex, but couldn't see any emotions on his face.
,, I knew you guys like each other, Marco eyefucks you all the time. I knew you had sex, because you rejected me even though I had fingered you in the disco shortly before.” added Alex.
,,You can think about it and then let us know. We won't force you.’’
Alex wanted to free you from the handcuffs, as you yelled.
,,No, don't!”, you searched for eye contact.
,, Come closer...’’ you whispered. ,,You are too nice to me guys. I know exactly how much you like having rough sex. So, let's stop pretending to like it gently.”
Marco sat at the foot of the bed, you knew he liked doggy style, so you turned around and pressed your ass towards him. He squeezed your ass cheeks and could see your pussy while doing it. He caressed your already wet pussy and shoved his cock in. It made you moan loudly. You liked that feeling of being dominated and they liked it even more. Marco put his hand around your neck and pulled your head towards his chest. You could hear his fast breathing.
"I've wanted to do this for a long time, why did you keep me waiting so long for this…Look at Alex and tell him how much you like to be fucked hard, you nasty girl.”
Alex sat in the corner of the room on an armchair. He was hearing your clapping cheeks and rubbed his cock.
“Please fuck me harder Marco“, you’ve never seen Alex so horny.
He got up and approached you. His big hand touched your soft neck and choked you. He did it very gently so that you could breathe easily, he was rather shy. His tongue slided soft over your upper lip. You wanted to kiss him but he refused.
,,You won’t decide what we'll do” and wagged his finger.
,,Let's turn her over!’’ he said. They talked about you like you weren't there.
Alex released the handcuffs from the bed but left them on your wrists. Marco put your legs on his shoulders so that he could penetrate you deeper. Alex knelt down to you and stroked your mouth with his cock. He had your arms trapped between his thighs. They grinned at each other and focused on you again. You were like on fire. Your pussy pulsed and your climax came closer and closer. You looked at Alex who was close to your face.
,,Can I cum? " Your hands sank into the sheets and you couldn't wait any longer.
,,Let it happen elskede” He gave you a gentle kiss and bit your lower lip. He saw you cumming and jerked off on your breasts, your spread it over your nipple and licked your finger clean. Marco moaned loud in your ear, you felt how the sperm ran out of your pussy.
"Tak baby”, muttered Marco while smooched your neck.
They both got off you and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Are you okay?" and released your handcuffs.
“I feel better than ever. Don't worry guys, you didn't hurt me and you never will.
" You stood up und walked into the bathroom.
,,Do you sleep in my bed tonight? I would be happy about that” Marco called after you.
,,I think I will settle in the guest room if you both agree. I can start work earlier than planned and it would be easier for me if I have my own room”
,,That’s not a problem for me, but i will sneak into your room if i want a kiss” said Alex with a wink.
,,All right, no problem, good night and wake me up tomorrow” said Marco a little disappointed.
,,Good night guys and thank you for letting me live here” and closed the door behind you.

Author’s Note: This is not a happy story in any sense, at any point. I could only write this at my lowest places, emotionally and mentally speaking, and I had a hard time coming back from it. This is dark, and it does not at any point get lighter. I relied heavily on my own experiences with mental struggles and took a few pieces here and there from my own experiences with mental health professionals. MY EXPERIENCES ARE MY OWN AND ARE NOT TYPICAL, NOT EVEN FOR ME. If you need mental help of any kind, please DO NOT HESITATE TO REACH OUT TO GET IT. This story was an exercise in mental exorcism, in a sense.
For all the Loki lovers out there, I do not shine him anything like a good or redeeming light here. He is evil incarnate, more or less. I love Loki, I love good Loki and redeemed Loki and misunderstood Loki and just about every incarnation thereof. I needed a villain, and he fit the story.
Above all, please be kind. This was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever written, and it took me years to work up the courage to post it. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me or send me an ask.
Thank you to @thoughtslikeaminefield and @glassjacket . I would not have made it through this story and would honestly not be here today with the two of you. I will never be able to tell you how much you mean to me.

Shadows and Pills
1
Some people come away from the Battle of New York with scars and broken bones. Some come away with nightmares and years of therapy ahead of them. Some don’t come away at all.
Alexa comes away with a shadow.
In the weeks following the disaster, the public equally lauds and decries the Avengers, but while their opinions are divided over the heroes, the villain is universally denounced as nothing short of Satan himself, and the city throws an actual celebration the day Thor takes Loki back to Asgard to face the justice of their people.
Alexa, having not turned on her television since the day she got home from the hospital, ignores the boisterous celebrants and goes about her shopping, earbuds firmly in place, frown lines now permanently etched between her eyes and around her pinched lips.
“Routine will help you through some of the worst days,” her therapist tells her during one session. “Something familiar and safe to retreat to when the flashbacks are the worst. Just give it a try,” he adds at her disbelieving grimace.
And so she sets a routine.
Morning Routine: wake up. Ignore alarm, lie in bed an extra thirty minutes or so. Shower. Pretend to eat breakfast. Take meds (this one she never skips or shirks). Find something to wear. Stare at it for another ten minutes. Eventually get dressed. Contemplate keys for another fifteen minutes. Leave the goddamned apartment already.
Her routine has varying results, although she does admit to her therapist that life is marginally more bearable with the routine than without.
“It’s nice to have something to look forward to for the next day.”
Her therapist can’t quite hide his grimace at her flat, deadened tone, but she’s not being sarcastic or rude. She finds that going to bed at night is a trifle easier when she knows what’s going to happen the next day.
“So, who are we up to today?” the doctor asks, switching the subject with awkward abruptness. It’s been six weeks since Hell came to New York, and during their twice-weekly meetings, her therapist suggests going through each of the people she saw die in front of her that day, to get closure...or say goodbye...or something.
Sometimes Alexa wonders whether he just wants to hear the details for his own perverse pleasure.
“Brenda.”
Alexa robotically begins to list the personal details she knows...knew...about her floor manager. Unlike the mail room intern she discussed at their last meeting, the list for Brenda goes on for a while. She’s worked with Brenda since she started at the company, learning most of what she knows about her current job from the woman.
Brenda was kind, sharply intelligent, and mothering to everyone under her supervision, and yet she did it in a way that didn’t make anyone uncomfortable. She balanced work and a family long and well enough to both receive regular promotions within the company and also, very recently, become a new grandmother.
The backs of Alexa’s eyes sting as she remembers the photo Brenda showed her not twenty minutes before part of the building collapsed on top of half the department. Her jaw locks as the scene plays before her eyes again, the explosions and shrieks of metal drowning out the shrieks of the people only five feet away.
She closes her eyes, but there’s no pause button to freeze the scene, no power button to shut the images off as she turns in her memory and runs, making it to the stairwell and slamming the door open, turning back and screaming for Brenda, straining her eyes through the smoke and dust and mountains of falling debris. Brenda is running, reaching for Alexa even though she seems miles away, and then one of the file cabinets is thrown over, propelled faster and harder than should be possible, and...and…
And then Brenda isn’t running anymore. Her outstretched hand, the only part of her that wasn't crushed by office furniture, spasms against the ruined carpet, as if it thinks it’s reached its destination and is grasping at its savior.
Alexa’s hand tingles, and her fingers lock into her palm, nails fitting easily into the little grooves she dug there weeks ago. No blood, she only dug that deep once, but the furrows remain as permanently etched there as the frown lines on her face.
Alexa struggles to take in a labored breath as her therapist watches her with the appropriate amount of professional, clinical sympathy and detachment.
“Do your counting,” he reminds her.
How could she forget? She counts to three once, letting a breath out at the end. She repeats the process twice more, ignoring her therapist’s brief flash of annoyance at her departure from his “system.” But, for once, he doesn’t ask her why she has to deviate from the standard one-to-ten method and just lets her do the goddamned counting in peace.
Small blessings.
“Have you had any flashbacks since our last session?”
She stares at him, letting her gaze rest heavy and disbelieving as she turns his question over. She’s been averaging about five flashbacks a day, triggered by everything from accidentally brushing a stranger on the sidewalk (Jim knocking past her to get down the stairs just as the door on the stairwell behind her explodes inward; more shrieking, then falling, then dark) to lifting a carton of cold milk from the shelf at the grocery (that impossibly cold hand grasping hers, pulling her up from the rubble, bringing her face to face with...something...something in the...shadows, it was so dark there, and…).
“Yeah. I’ve had some flashbacks since our last session.”
“What sort of coping strategies did you use?”
He’s not even meeting her eyes now, just getting notes down on that damned pad. The scratching of his pen grates into her bones, and Alexa grits her teeth as she glares.
One, two, three.
Breathe.
One, two, three.
Breathe.
One, two, three.
Breathe.
She slowly recites the list of strategies he suggested during a previous session, none of which have proven particularly effective at lessening the frequency of the episodes, but most of which she grudgingly admits provide some slight relief afterwards and allow her to refocus her mind on the present rather than dwelling in the memory.
“And the shadows?”
How can he get this wrong every time when he’s taking all those fucking notes?
“Still just the one.”
“Has it manifested in any other way? Asked you to do anything? Do you feel different in any way when you notice it?”
There’s a distasteful eagerness to his words that always turns Alexa’s stomach, and she has to physically bite into her tongue to keep from asking what kind of bonus he gets for each symptom she shows of different mental illnesses.
“It’s just there sometimes. I..” She hesitates, feeling vaguely nauseated from his questions, but she has to be honest, right? Because, ultimately, it’s his job to help her, and she’s never going to get through this by hiding symptoms. He can’t help fix her if he doesn’t know what’s broken, and he did suggest the routine, so, okay, he gets a pass for this one.
“I still mostly only see it before I’m falling asleep. I’ve started seeing it in the late afternoon, as well, not often, but sometimes. Always in shadows that are already there. It doesn’t talk or anything, doesn’t really have any face or form except for vaguely person-shaped, but it...it watches me. And it’s...denser than it was last week. More...it’s thicker than it was, like when you see wispy clouds kind of...gather and turn into storm clouds?”
He nods, his pen whizzing over the legal pad he records their session notes on. “So, you feel threatened by the shadow? Like it’s storm clouds gathering to...what? It feels menacing?”
But, like most of the questions Alexa fences in this office, this one isn’t easily answered.
“It feels like it’s watching me, waiting for something. I don’t know what. I don’t...I don’t know if it’s menacing, exactly. Like, it feels potentially dangerous, but I can’t tell if it’s for me. I don’t know. It’s just...darker and more there this week, but it doesn’t do anything, and I don’t feel different, and it doesn’t speak to me. I. Don’t. Hear. Voices.”
She clips off each word at the end of her rant separately and precisely, repeating her counting in her head, and she forces her breathing to even out. The doctor is just doing his job, he’s just trying to help, he’s supposed to ask these questions, it’s how he helps-
“Hmm. I’ll have to consider that between now and our next meeting. In the meantime, go ahead and move up to the next dosage step with your meds, keep it on the escalating schedule we set.”
You set, she thinks mutinously for a moment before internally shaking her head. She nods, biting her tongue once more. She’s going to have a permanent indentation there as well, at this rate.
“Any side effects? Itching, swelling, difficulty breathing? Any unreasonable lethargy or detachment?”
“I mean...I don’t really have anything to attach to at this point, so…”
He frowns at her again, and she wonders if he’s going to crank up her dosage two notches instead of one.
“Are you having what you feel are typical emotional responses to everyday stimuli? Have you laughed or smiled at anything yet? How long has it been since you emotionally felt anything besides the frustration and panic?”
And, somehow, this question is difficult, too. She struggles through, trying to find a balance between honesty and not making herself look like a complete failure who can't function in life. She doesn’t help her case when she admits she hasn’t followed many of his suggestions beyond establishing a routine.
“Not even exercising?” he asks, his disappointment palpable.
When she silently shakes her head, her lips pinched tight against his disapproval, he shakes his head with a sigh that sings of ultimate betrayal. Instead of berating her as usual, the doctor frowns and looks down at his notes, considering them silently. He clicks his tongue against his teeth for a moment before switching over to end-session mode, robotically delivering his closing remarks, his typical reminders to keep her meds on a strict schedule at the exact time every day, to avoid all alcohol and unprescribed drugs, to keep her diet as clean and unprocessed as possible, and to get plenty of exercise. Even this last bit is delivered with a sharply clinical detachment, as if she has driven him to the brink of her own psychoses by stubbornly refusing to accept his help.
There is a short, silent moment between them where they refuse to look at each other, the doctor perusing his notes once more while Alexa examines the wrinkles creased into her jeans from lack of folding. The doctor flips pages over in his legal pad and slaps the cover shut sharply, breaking the standoff with one last, dismissive comment.
“Routine, Alexa. Stick to the routine. If it’s what brings you comfort, if that's the one thing you’re taking away from these sessions that actually helps, then stick with it. I’ll see you Thursday afternoon.”
….
Her afternoons vary, according to her therapy schedule. Her sessions take roughly an hour and a half, so that’s one block of time she doesn’t have to try and fill. On the days she isn’t having her skull cracked open, she can sometimes force herself to work on the files her company sends her way. Grunt work, brainless stuff that any first-year intern could do, but it keeps her on the payroll and covered by health insurance until the doctor clears her to return to the office.
Not that there’s an office to return to yet.
Grocery shopping for food she’ll pretend to eat later, making excuses to stay out of the apartment a little longer each day, watching the shadows of the buildings grow darker and longer until the sunlight disappears from the streets.
And the other shadow, the darkest of all, thick and solid against the brick and stone, pacing her, keeping track as she wanders through the broken city blocks. Sometimes she walks a little faster, pretends to not notice the black spot. Sometimes she pretends it’s keeping her company. With the most conversation she’s had in weeks taking place in her therapy sessions, she occasionally finds the imaginary company of her shadow stalker to be more pleasant than menacing.
Occasionally.
Eventually, though, she and her chimerical companion head back to the silent, encroaching walls of her apartment to begin the night routine.
…
Night Routine: laundry. Pretend to eat dinner. Shower. Finish laundry. Clean already clean kitchen. Another shower (on the bad days, the ash and debris won’t wash off). Rearrange already arranged closet. Braid hair. Take meds, do not skip, no matter how much they screw up her sleep, because they help. They do. Settle into bed. Stare at the wall. Adjust pillows. Re-settle. Stare at the shadow. Start to drift off, slide into a flashback, scream back to full consciousness. Watch the shadow. Doze. Awaken from a fucked up nightmare she can only partially remember. Repeat ad nauseum.
Really, if Alexa could just skip the nights and go straight into morning, that’d be great. Mornings are tedious but tolerable. Afternoons are blurry and tense, especially therapy days, but nights…
Nights just won't shut down.
The drugs are partially responsible, the doctor has told her multiple times. The medicine can either make sleeping more difficult, or it can act like a sedative, dragging and holding her down. Honestly, she’s getting kind of mixed results. It’s difficult to stay awake, easy to slip under, but then she can’t stay asleep for very long, jerking back to consciousness in something close to full panic, unable to figure out if it’s the drugs or the dreams that’s pushing her to the edge.
Because the fucked up dreams...well, that’s all on her and her broken brain. She stopped bringing up the dreams in therapy after the first couple of weeks of sessions. The doctor seemed hell bent on steering Alexa towards the possibility that she was experiencing waking hallucinations, but there’s no way she could possibly be awake for all this shit. Maybe some of the flashbacks, but not…
Not…
Her brain isn’t that broken.
No. No, she can tell from the way she jerks to consciousness afterwards, she knows she’s asleep. Yeah, she’s unstable and has flashbacks, but she’s not delusional. They’re dreams.
Every night.
About…
Something.
Okay, sometimes she can remember. Sometimes the meds dull her down so much she forgets what day it is, but sometimes she can hold on to a detail or two. Cold, slender fingers, impossibly strong. A flash of bright blue that sends nausea racing through her entire body (who knew your toes could feel nauseated?) or a glimpse of bottle green that, conversely, thrills her to her soul. A smooth, velvet voice that penetrates every layer of her being, down to the deepest recesses. Darkness descending...a sense of dreadful awe…
And sometimes she can remember every unhinged detail with a terrifying clarity that she will never even consider mentioning to the therapist. Not if she likes her jacket sleeves to fit properly.
There’s honesty, and then there’s idiocy.
The shadow is larger tonight. Taller, a little broader, definitely denser. She would say looming, even, but it’s not quite that large.
Not quite.
She stares at it openly, no longer trying to avoid acknowledging its presence. What's the point? The doctor knows about it, and it’s not like she’s talking to it. She’s not that far gone yet. And she hasn't lied to the doctor, either. The shadow does watch her, like it’s waiting, gathering. Convalescing. But it hasn't ever talked to her.
She does not hear voices.
She yawns and rolls her shoulders, left then right, sliding a little lower in bed, searching for a cooler place between the sheets. Movement catches her eye, and she looks up as the shadow shifts, leaning left then right, and seems to…
Grow?
No, it’s never moved before. She’s pretty sure she’s never seen it move, but now it pulses and raises up, stretching-
No. No. Sourceless shadows don’t move. They don’t grow, they don’t shift, they don’t-
The shadow stretches upwards abruptly, definitely looming now, and Alexa hits the wall behind the bed, scrambling backwards in a blind panic as she realizes the shadow isn’t growing.
It’s coming closer.
Her breathing speeds up, but her limbs are heavy and dull with narcotic stupor. The foot of her bed darkens as the shadow creeps even closer, and she opens her mouth to protest, to scream, to say something, but her tongue is numb and stupid with the acrid, coppery tang of fear and pharmaceuticals, and she hates, hates this kind of dream where she can’t speak, can't move and she can barely breathe, and...and…
The shadow reaches out, stretches over her foot and slides up her calf in a clammy, viscous caress that tightens on her knee and pulls her several inches down the bed as her throat closes.
Do not shrink from Me. It is not your fear I crave, but your adoration. Come to Me, allow yourself to move past the fear and embrace what I wish to grant you.
Horror, deep and instinctual, floods her veins. Alexa feels the voice more than hears it, and it awakens an ancient fear that finally, though futilely, awakens her drugged limbs. She claws at her sheets uselessly as the shadow moves over her, a freezing oil slick that oozes against her skin as if her blankets and clothes weren’t even there, sending shivers to the very marrow of her bones as her gorge rises, and she chokes on the bile that singes the back of her throat. She can’t fight, can’t move against this intangible force, but neither will her terror let her sink past the fear to blissful unawareness.
Give over. Let go of your stubborn fear that tethers you to this useless reality. Allow Me entrance, and I will grant you the relief you seek. Release your grip on the world that cares nothing for you, and I shall bestow upon you the peace you so desperately crave.
Her skin raises in gooseflesh everywhere the shadow crosses, and her stomach turns as it squeezes its way up her torso, her chest, her throat, slipping over her lips in a sick parody of a lover’s caress. She opens her mouth - to scream, to breathe, to do something - and the shadow plunges inwards, invading her mouth, her throat, coating her inside and out with a thick, glutinous sensation that leaves her mouth hanging obscenely open, tongue thrashing, while her mind screams useless denials.
Submit to Me what you see I can easily take, give Me My due. Give over, drown in Me, and I will save you from this miserable existence.
And she is drowning, the air pressed from her lungs as a dark heaviness settles solidly over her. Her arms are forced over her head, and she is strung out on her twisted sheets, writhing under the weight of the shadow as it presses over every surface, against every entrance. No matter how she strains, her legs are gradually forced apart. The darkness’s lack of speed is affected, some barely functioning bit of her brain whispers to her; it could take her as swiftly as it cares to and is only moving slowly because it wants her to suffer, wants to taste her anguish. She has no chance against the shadow, she can’t even touch it, really she could just save herself the anxiety and fear and just-
NO.
She twists as hard as she can, but the shadow simply moves with her, flows over her, waits until she takes another breath, and then surges between her thighs, driving her torso off the bed with the force of its thrust. Every cell in her body locks, not in pain, but in complete revulsion. And then again, and again, cruel in the thoroughness of its violation, covering and saturating every crevice of her being, coating and tainting everything it touches.
Wrong, can't...stop, stop, stop, wrong, can’t...God, please…
You cannot rely on yourself, on your own mind for proper guidance. Let Me protect you. Let Me save you from yourself.
How long...minutes...hours...years...just stop, please…please-
The alarm clock shrieks right in her goddamned ear, and she can breathe and move and scream and goddammit, she fucking hates those dreams that send her careening onto the floor, scrambling for cover when she can’t even remember what she's running from.
Her morning routine is already in shambles. There’s no ignoring the alarm clock today. A morning shower maybe, to wash off the sticky aftermath of night sweats, definitely, but no lying about, staring at the walls in a sleep-daze. Definitely washing the sheets tonight, too.
She surveys what she can see of her bed from her crumpled position on the floor in front of the closet and sighs. Must’ve been a hell of a nightmare to tear up the covers that badly. She thinks for a moment of trying a little harder to remember, to recall some piece of the dream, but then her stomach flips over, and she summarily rejects that idea in favor of caffeination and medication.
She allows herself another few minutes on the floor, waiting until her respiratory and heart rates return to a less alarming pace before climbing to her quivering knees. The shadow darkens the far corner of the room, as innocuous as always. Though she doesn’t know why, she can’t help an involuntary flinch when she first sees it. It’s not normally present in the morning, at least, she doesn’t think so...well, she can't remember the shadow being so dark in the mornings, at least. But...
She clears her throat against the thickness that seems to coat it suddenly, and readjusts her plan to include a glass of water before she starts in on the coffee. She realizes after another long moment of staring that her hands are trembling along with her legs. Her jaw clenches, and she knows she’s being ridiculous. It’s a damned shadow. It just sits there. It’s a minor manifestation of a mild psychosis secondary to major psychological trauma. It’s just a damned dark spot; it doesn’t change, doesn't want her to do anything, and it definitely doesn’t fucking talk to her.
She. Does. Not. Hear. Voices.

Proud of You | Roman Bürki
An unexpected addition to @footballffbarbiex‘s Big Screen Writing Challenge. (Amy, please don’t kill me for this. I was just looking for someone to write this very sad scene with and @lawsandother suggested Roman and I couldn’t say no. CC’ing @sunslittlesister so you can cry, too, Dana xx)
Taken from the Season 6, Episode 8 of Schitt’s Creek scenes between Ted and Alexis.
Word Count: 2,943 Warnings: angst (I cried writing this)
It felt so unrealistic to wake up next to him that she almost thought she was dreaming for a moment when she woke up from her mid-afternoon, post-sex nap. Roman had been in and out of her life for the last six years, but lately each visit seemed to bring a sense of dread that neither one of them could place. Timing had never been a strong suit when it came to their relationship, but they’d been trying like hell to make it work.
When he’d been at SC Freiburg, things had been a bit easier. The two-hour commute on the weekends or for special occasions felt like nothing and she always looked forward to those Fridays or Mondays off work so she could have just one more day with him. Then came Dortmund, or ‘the beginning of the end’ as she had started to think of these last five years. The distance added five hours to her drive, and in the beginning, it was worth it. She still got almost two days with him, but each time she left the pit in her stomach grew. For two years, they saw each other twice a month; then once a month for a year. Now, he only came to visit her when he got a call-up to the national team or when he came back to Münsingen for a holiday break, the latter of which seemed to happen more often as he hadn’t gotten a call-up since 2018.
“You’re awake,” Roman mumbled, his eyes still closed but he could feel her presence as if she were a part of his own body.
“I am,” she confirmed, lifting up his tattooed arm so she could tuck herself into his side. She pressed a kiss to his chest, sighing contentedly.
“Did we switch places?” Roman joked, his chest rising and falling as he chuckled. “Usually I’m the one up before you.”
“Just wanted to surprise you, I guess,” she answered, feeling guilty at the lie that so easily fell from her lips. I couldn’t sleep knowing you have to leave me tonight.
She had stayed up for the half-hour that he’d napped, replaying their relationship over and over, all the good and the bad moments on a loop until she couldn’t take it anymore. The worst part about it all was that he had come to surprise her this time, but she was the one who had to be realistic.
She’d been working on a logo for a new up-and-coming local shop set to open soon - the newest in a long line of new clientele that had steadily started hiring her one-woman graphic design company - when she’d heard a rhythmic knock on the door. Thinking nothing of it, she set down her pen and walked over to the door of her studio, shocked but elated to find Roman on the other side.
“Oh, my god, Roman!” She’d squealed, jumping into his arms for a tight embrace. She hadn’t seen him in almost eight months and words couldn’t describe how good it felt to see his face after so long. “What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to surprise you,” he said, smiling shyly.
She hadn’t expected it to feel this awkward. After all, they were still in a relationship...just one that happened to be almost 700 kilometers away and one where they stopped FaceTiming as often as they used to. “Oh my god, uhm, hi!” She said brightly, taking his face in her hands and kissing him deeply.
“Hi,” he mumbled when the kiss ended, reaching into his back and pulling out a Steiff bear wearing a t-shirt. “Sorry, there were limited options at the hotel gift shop.”
“Mehr Bier, bitte!” She read, laughing at the words. “So sweet.” Not quite sure what to say, she pulled him in for another hug. “I missed you so much.”
“I missed you, too,” Roman murmured, burying his face in the crook of her neck and inhaling her scent that he’d missed these last eight months.
“Wait…” she paused, putting the pieces together, “there’s no break for months. What are you doing here?”
Roman looked away, wishing for a brief moment that he hadn’t fallen in love with such a perceptive woman, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. “I picked up a small injury in the match on Friday, so I was told to take a long weekend.”
Her brow furrowed as she did the math. “But today’s Sunday. How come you didn’t get here until,” she paused, checking her watch, “half-past noon today?”
“Well, I was supposed to be here yesterday morning, but I had some unforeseen car troubles.” Roman cringed, remembering the incident. “Got a flat within the first two hours of my drive, so I had to get my car repaired, which took longer than expected. Then, something happened with my engine that required an overnight repair and I didn’t make it out here until now.”
“That’s okay,” she cooed, running her fingers over the beard he’d been growing for ages now. “So, how long do we actually have, then?”
Roman sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Just today.”
“Oh, wow, okay. Enough about your car troubles, then.” She took his hand and dragged him over to her bed, kneeling on it as she wrapped her arms around his broad shoulders.
“I just want to be with you and catch up and talk,” he said, leaning down to capture her lips in his before he laid her down on the bed and covered her body with his.
There had been no other way to describe what he’d done with her except that he’d made love to her. His love for her was in every kiss that he place on her body; every word from his lips and every caress across her skin. When he’d asked if they could cuddle afterwards as he pulled her into his side and subsequently fell asleep, a part of her couldn’t help wondering just what the future held.
“You still with me, Schatz?” Roman asked, nudging her playfully to get her attention.
“Yeah, sorry,” she replied, clearing her throat as he brought her out of her head once again. “Got distracted, is all.” When she looked over at him, the look on her face had her stomach dropping. “Is everything okay?”
Roman took a deep inhale, steadying himself for what he was about to say; no matter how many times he’d rehearsed it in his head, it still pained him to say it. “I just..thought that it was important that we have this conversation in person.”
Her heart started to race, and for a moment all she could hear was the blood pounding in her ears as it pumped through her veins. “Roman, are you breaking up with me?”
“No,” he answered quickly, shaking his head. “That’s the last thing I want to do.” He put an arm around her shoulder and pulled her into him, pressing a kiss to her temple.
“Oh, thank god.” She breathed a sigh of relief, tracing the tattoo on his pec. “Then, what is it?”
“I don’t remember when we last talked about this, but my contract with Dortmund is up at the end of this year and the managers want to talk to me about re-signing.”
“Wow,” she said, stunned. Of course she was well aware of how good he was, regardless of how long it had been since he’d gotten a National Team call-up. He was a key player for Dortmund, starting almost every match, and even though she cringed every time the ball came his way, she tried to watch all of his appearances whether he knew it or not. “How long would your new contract last?”
“The foreseeable future. Five years at minimum is what we discussed, provided I don’t have any major injuries. We even talked about the possibility of me retiring with the club, but that’s at least a decade away if things go my way.”
She cursed in Swiss-tinted German, the unexpectedness of it all hitting her like a punch to the gut. Tears sprang to her eyes and she blinked them back, hoping Roman hadn’t seen them. “That’s a long time,” she said when she’d regained her composure, trying desperately to find some small bit of hope to cling onto.
“Yeah…”Roman agreed, trailing off. “I just… I keep waiting for things to get easier for us.”
“So, uh, what are you gonna tell them?” She asked, placing a hand on his forearm as some modicum of reassurance.
“I- I don’t know. I was hoping that the drive to you would clear my head and show me the right answer, but-” he took her hand in one of his, focusing on that so he wouldn’t have to look her in the eye, “seeing you? I don’t wanna lose this.” He took her hand and placed it over the tattoo on his chest so she could feel his heartbeat under her fingertips.
“Okay, so what do we do?” She asked, her brain already switching into work-mode trying to figure it all out. “Do I just pack up my life and move to Dortmund with you?”
“Or I move back here,” Roman said, and she could already hear the melancholy in his voice.
“And turn down the opportunity to finish out your career at a great club before you move onto the next chapter of your life,” she finished for him, the heavy feeling in her heart returning.
Roman sighed, running a hand over his scruff and then through his hair, not knowing what to do. “I was hoping that we’d have the weekend to talk it over, figure it out, formulate a plan, but then-”
“Your car, I know,” she replied, unable to keep the bitterness out of her tone. A lump was starting to form in her throat and she knew the tears were going to start falling very soon, and she knew that if they did, she wouldn’t be able to stop them until she was all cried out. “I’m gonna need a minute to think about this…”
“There has to be a way through this.” Roman felt like he was pleading now, hanging on to the one reason outside of family he came back to Münsingen.
She gave him a sad, watery smile, taking his face in her hands and giving him a soft kiss. “I liked this a whole lot better before we started talking.”
“Me, too.”

She took a walk while Roman showered, accidentally wandering into the café they’d met at six years before. It wasn’t often that she came to this café as everywhere she looked seemed to remind her of them and the time they’d spent here together.
The same person who’d waited on them the very first time all those years ago was still behind the counter, greeting her the moment she walked in. “I haven’t seen you around here in awhile,” the old woman said, giving her a warm smile.
“I haven’t had much reason to be back here in awhile,” she answered, taking a seat at one of the stools at the bar area. “I just needed to get out and...clear my head.”
The woman nodded solemnly, pouring a cold glass of water. “Is everything okay?”
“I don't know.” It was an honest answer, but one she hadn’t voiced until now, the words sounding odd coming out of her mouth. She ordered her usual, her mind wandering back to the very first time she’d met Roman here.
The old woman said her name a few times, finally getting her out of her reverie. “Here’s your order,” she said, nudging the cup toward her.
“Do you ever have those days where you wonder why things can’t just be easier?” The question was out of her mouth before she could even stop it, but thankfully there wasn’t anyone else but her and the old woman in the cafe.
“Why? What’s wrong?”
Those three words opened up a flood of emotions and before she knew it, she was pouring her heart out to the woman behind the counter. She wasn’t sure if the woman knew who she was talking about - with a population of a little more than 11 000, Münsingen was on the larger side of municipalities, but with only a handful of well-known professional footballers, she couldn’t be sure.
By the time she walked out of the cafe, she knew what she was going to do.
- - -
Roman double-checked the address on his phone for what felt like the hundredth time, but he knew he had it right. He stood outside, adjusting his suit and tie one final time as he took in the sign for the café. There had been a weird feeling in his gut from the moment she’d left to the moment he’d received her text telling him to meet her here at this address at 7pm.
The little bell at the top of the door jingled as he entered, signalling his arrival. Roman turned the corner to find the café completely empty, save for his girl in the centre of the room, ‘their’ booth adorned with candles and wine. Jazz music was playing softly over the speaker, and Roman couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
“What is all this?” He asked, his gaze roaming over her. She was dressed in one of his favourite dresses on her, and Roman felt awestruck in her presence.
“Sit,” she said, gesturing to ‘his’ side of the booth as she took her own seat opposite him.
“Did you close down the whole café?” Roman tried to make conversation, unsure of what to do next.
She lifted a shoulder in a partial shrug. “I’ll leave that to your imagination.”
Just then, the old woman came over. Roman felt like he was back in that café seeing the woman he now called his girlfriend for the first time, familiarity shocking him unexpectedly. “So, the set menu for tonight is mozzarella sticks, four-cheese lasagna, and a blueberry cheesecake for dessert.”
“That’s a lot of dairy,” Roman balked but couldn’t hide the fact that he was very hungry and it all sounded appetizing.
“All your cheat-day favourites,” she said as the woman walked away.
Roman’s chest tightened at the gesture that subtly hinted how well she knew him. The crossroads they were at now was just a bump in the road he kept internally repeating to himself, hoping he’d start to believe it soon. “So…” he started, clearing his throat. A part of him didn’t want to do this now before they’d even eaten, but he’d be remiss if he didn’t at least say something.
She said, the words for him, though, and time seemed to stop. “You can’t move back here, Roman. You’ve been offered the job of your dreams and there’s no turning back now. Just think of all the trophies you can bring to Dortmund. Maybe you’ll even get another national team call-up before you retire. You’ve got so much to accomplish in Germany and I don’t want to hold you back.”
“What about you?” Roman asked. He felt like he was grasping at straws, but he needed to know that she was going to be okay without him even if it broke him. “What are you gonna do?”
“I can’t move with you, Roman.”
“I wouldn’t let you even if you tried. You’re building something special here with your graphic design business, and you deserve to see where it takes you.” Roman swallowed past the lump in his throat, reaching across the table for her hand. “I’m so proud of you.”
“I’m so proud of you.” She played with his fingers, trying to steady her emotions. “I’d like to think that we helped each other get here.”
Roman’s other hand came up, taking her chin between his thumb and index finger so she could look at him as he said with certainty, “I know we did.”
“And when you drive back to Dortmund tomorrow, I want you to know how grateful I am to have met you.”
“I don’t think I’m ever going to meet another woman who made me feel the way that you do.” Roman’s eyes searched hers. He needed her to know that he spoke the truth. Losing her would be the biggest loss of his life, but on some level he’d known that this was going to be the last trip he made to see her the moment he’d turned onto her street and this confirmed it.
“I’m sure there’ll be some other woman...somewhere.” She tried to make a joke but it fell flat, the thought of Roman moving on to someone new making her want to cry.
Finally defeated, Roman sighed. “Can’t say that we didn’t try.”
Six, almost seven, years. That was how long the two of them had supported the other, through good and bad. There had been some rough patches and more than a few fights, but they’d always come back from them stronger than ever.
“I love you, Roman,” she whispered, releasing his hand.
“I love you, too.”
Roman leaned in and she did, too, their lips meeting in soft kiss goodbye that said all they couldn’t say with words.
With tears in her eyes, she stood up and Roman instinctively shifted over so that she could come sit next to him in the booth. He put an arm around her shoulder, pulling her into him. Reaching over, Roman grabbed his wine glass and gesticulated a toast. “To us.”
She did the same, looking over at him as their glasses clinked together.
“To us.”

< Previous Chapter
It was not that you didn’t enjoy your time at the mansion. You surely did, but after a few days (because of course Bucky didn’t let you leave just like that when he had all things he needed at one place) you felt like you could use some alone time. Or, more specifically, time with your own friends.
Bucky acted as if he couldn’t speak English when you told him that you’d like somebody to drive you home and that somebody could presumably be anybody else but Brock. Even though he stayed clear of you the whole time you spent in the house, it didn’t mean you felt any better about the guy. You still remembered his sly comments, and it never ceased to make you shudder.
Bucky tried to list all the advantaged of you staying there with him, and although constant sex and not having to cook did sound pretty good, you knew you had to leave, one way, or the other. It was also the end of the weekend, and as much as you liked Bucky and spending some quality time with him, your boss would probably not be too happy about you not coming to work the next day.
But most of all, it felt like a century since you last saw Nat. You were used to be with her almost every single day, just sharing stupid stories from work, and having a laugh about the stupidity of some people. But because you spent so much time with Bucky, you just didn’t have the time for Natasha. And you were feeling like the worst friend in the world.
Bucky’s protests were loud and clear, but your resilience was stronger, and so it was Sunday afternoon, that you finally managed to make him budge, and he actually let you leave the mansion. Not without a long and very steamy goodbye though. He insisted it was either a hot shower sex, or you not leaving his house ever again, so…
It was Peter who drove you back, and even though Bucky wanted to accompany you, he had some pressing matters to attend to, and, to be quite frank, you didn’t mind one bit. You enjoyed your time spent with Peter, because he was just such a sweetheart, and you wanted to get to know him better.
“I don’t want to pester you, Peter, and if you don’t feel like answering my question, you totally can stay quiet,” you said, while his eyes were glued to the road, probably because Bucky told him that if there was a hair wrong on your hair when he next saw you, Peter would be responsible.
“I’m an open book, Y/N. Ask away!”
“Alright. I was curious, as to what such a sweet boy, and so young, on top of it, is doing with Bucky’s gang. I mean, sure, you’ve got the power, and I bet the money ain’t that bad either, but you seem so smart, and I just wondered what made you decide for this line of work, really,” you mused, and waited for his reply.
You knew you were being nosey, but you just couldn’t help yourself.
There was a silence in the car while Peter thought about his answer, and you didn’t rush him.
“Uhm, well, my uncle used to work for Bucky’s father, he used to be his accountant, and because he and my aunt May raised me, it was one of those things that were almost given, you know? I tried to go to university, but it just didn’t feel right. So I quit and asked Bucky if I could help him out, and he took me in. Also, I wanted to help May. She is an amazing woman and after losing my uncle, I just wanted to help her out a bit, you know? And going to university, that would just drain her completely, and I didn’t have the heart to do it.”
You listened to him intently, your heart tightening in your chest for him. You could see he was ok with his fate, but, somehow, you weren’t. You wanted more for this sweet kid, and even though you didn’t really know how to achieve that, you made a mental note to try and help him and his aunt so that he could pursue a better career. Or at least one where he wouldn’t have to face death almost every single month.
Before you knew it, Peter was pulling over in front of your building. The street lamps were already lit, the dim light they were emitting setting a warm feeling in your heart. The sun was down, and only a few orange and pink clouds were giving away the beauty of the previous day. You kissed Peter’s cheek, which even in the hardly lit car caused him to blush so hard you could actually see it, and you giggled slightly.
You bid him goodnight and getting out of the car, you pulled out your phone from your purse, dealing Bucky’s number. He made you promise to call him as soon as you got home, and you knew you would have caught hell weren’t you to call him immediately.
He picked up in seconds, and you had to laugh in your head. He was such a softie, even if he never admitted it.
“Already missing me, doll?”
You could almost see the smirk on his stupid face, and you shook your head, unlocking the front door.
“Oh, that’s how it is now, huh? I thought you wanted me to let you know, but I guess I was wrong, bye, Buck!” You hollered, even though you had no intention of hanging up on him.
“NO” Wait! I was just joking! I’m glad you called, doll, you know me. I was just teasing you, that’s all. I’m happy you’re home and safe. Was the ride ok, or should I take care of the youngling?”
“Don’t you even dare tell him anything, joke or not. He’s mortified of you, and I don’t wanna be the reason you’re making him uncomfortable. The ride was perfect, and you should be glad you have such a sweetie amongst your men!” You told him, imagining him rolling his eyes at your comments. He always did this when you talked to him about his line of business.
“Right, because it’s such an important trait for a mobster, to be a fucking sweetie. Imma have to remember that one when I hire more men. If you’re not a sweetie, you can’t fucking work for him. You wanna kill him? Sure, but do it sweetly.”
You snorted out a laugh just as you entered your apartment and breathed a sigh of relief. You missed this little place. Your little safe haven.
“You’re such a dork. I’m just saying that he can actually act human, not like I can say that about all of your guys,” you took a jab at Brock and Bob, but continued right afterwards, not wanting to give him a reason to get angry again.
“Anyway, I’m gonna go, I think me and Nat are gonna have a glass or five, and then we’ll go to sleep. Hope you have a good night, babe,” you almost whispered, walking further in the apartment and spotting Nat sitting on the sofa, smiling at you with two glasses of wine ready. How she knew you were coming, that was a mystery to you.
“Don’t think I didn’t hear what you said there! Be safe and text me when you wake up. Night!”
You wanted to laugh at him for being such an overprotective boyfriend, but he already hung up. Bucky couldn’t make a friendly phone call, and that was why you always rather either texted him or spoke to him in person. His telephone persona was just too stiff for you.
“Hey there, stranger! I almost thought you moved there and that I had to look for another roommate!” Nat smiled at you sheepishly, and you stuck your tongue out, which made her laugh.
“Not my fault my boyfriend wants me all to himself,” you said, shrugging your shoulders, and Nat had to roll her eyes at you.
“Your boyfriend is a mafia boss, of course, he wants you to himself, babe! Anyway, how is life going in the mafia paradise, huh? He’s been treating you well, I hope. If not, I’m gonna go and kick his juicy ass!”
You wanted to take a sip of your wine, but Nat’s comment made you spit it out like a hippo, and your hand wasn’t fast enough to cover your mouth which made the white wine sprinkle everywhere on the sofa.
“You can’t say things like that! I could have drowned, for Christ’s sake! Anyway, a juicy ass, huh?” You smirked at her.
The rest of the night went similarly, you two were talking your hearts out about everything that has happened since you two had a proper girls’ evening. By the time it was 1AM, you were both giggling messes, slightly drunk but definitely happy.
And it was in that state that an idea emerged in your brain. You bid Nat goodnight and went to your room, picking up your phone and dialling the only important number.
—-
Bucky was already asleep when his phone started vibrating next to his head. He wanted to ignore it, thinking it could wait till morning to deal with the world and with the person being so rude as to call him so late at night.
But when he saw who was calling him, he sat up straight and didn’t hesitate in picking up.
“Doll? What’s wrong? Where are you? Should I come for you?” He was distressed, just the mere thought of you being hurt made him want to vomit. He could gut a person with his bare hands, but he couldn’t stand the thought of you suffering.
He heard a little giggle escaping your mouth, and your heavy breathing and his brows furrowed.
“You could come alright if you know what I mean,” he heard you say seductively, and his face was now wearing a look of utter confusion.
Warning, smut starting
“What? Y/N? Are you- are you drunk, doll?” He asked, his hand on his face as he tried to breathe through his slight panic attack.
“Maybe, maybe not. But I miss you, James, and I thought we could have a little fun, what do you say?” You were whining, and before Bucky knew what was happening a strangled moan left your lips, and the sound went straight to his groin.
“Doll, are you doing what I think you’re doing?”
“Depends. What do you think I’m doing, James?” The way his name rolled off your tongue would be enough to get him off. He loved it when you called his name, all sweaty, with puffed up lips, parted enough he could kiss you deeply whenever he liked.
He growled as a response, and he heard you moaning again. His dick was already standing proud, just the thought of you making it all excited and ready for action. Bucky sighed and lied down, keeping his sleeping pants on, just freeing his aching cock.
“You’re teasing me, Y/N, that’s what you’re doing. So stop it, and tell me exactly what you’re doing to that pretty pussy of yours.”
He could hear the sudden intake of breath on the other side of the line and had to smirk at your reaction. He could have you gasping even if he wasn’t there to perform his magic
Few seconds passed before you regained your composure and actually started talking. Bucky was just intently listening to the sounds leaving your mouth, imagining what you looked like at the moment, and each image his mind created was hotter than the previous one. But he knew no matter what he imagined, the reality was ten thousand times better, and he seriously hated himself for letting you go home. He could’ve been balls deep inside you by now.
“I’m picturing you with me, James, the way your beard scratches along under-boob, and the way you suck on my tits when you thrusting deep inside me, hitting all the right spots as you go,” you said quietly, and Bucky could tell you were biting your lip, trying to stay as quiet as possible. But because you were a screamer, he knew you wouldn’t be able to keep that up for long.
Bucky would be lying if he said he wasn’t turned on by your little sighs and moans, and just the whole idea that you got drunk with your friend, and the thing you wanted to do at 1 AM in the morning was to call him and have phone sex with him.
“Yeah? And how does that feel, baby?” Bucky asked you, his voice strained from the effort of not coming right there and then.
“Oh, yeah! You feel amazing, James. So good and ohmygod… so sooo deep! Ooooh,” you were muttering and moaning, and Bucky couldn’t help it but let a moan of his own escape his lips. He could hear the whimper coming from your bed, and he swore under his breath. You would be his death, Bucky was sure of it.
The rest of the phone call was filled with both of you moaning and encouraging the other to speed up, to do it harder, and it 6 minutes, you were both hissing and groaning, coming together just as if you were actually sharing a bed.
Warning ending
For a moment, all that could be heard on the line was panting, both of you trying to calm down your hearts, and come down from your bliss.
“Well,” Bucky said when he regained his composure, “that was something else, doll. You alright?”
He could hear your sighs, and he could only imagine the blissful expression on your face right now.
“‘M fine. Tired, but oh-so-good. I’m sorry if I woke you up, I just needed to hear your voice.”
Your voice indeed sounded exhausted, and while Bucky cleaned himself, he mumbled on the phone, grinning like an idiot.
“Never apologise for wanting to have sex with me, phone or not. And if I ever tell you to stop, or to quit it, please, just kill me. Go to sleep, Y/N. You’re going to work tomorrow, and you should get at least some rest before you do so.”
You just hummed, and Bucky was pretty positive you were already drifting off, tired and satisfied. He smiled at the phone and mumbled a low goodnight before he hung up and went off to sleep himself. And all he could dream off that night was you being curled against his side, safe and sound.
—-
The whole day was a nightmare. Not only did you have a slight hangover in the morning, and your head felt like it would burst into flames any minute, you also came a bit late to work, which didn’t help your situation at all. Not that your boss minded too much, but still. You hated it when you were late.
By the end of the day, you wished you could be at home, taking a hot bath with your favourite scented candle, and let the whole day disappear from your mind.
But, obviously, Bucky had different plans, when it came to your evening, because as you got out of the office, there he was, standing like a statue surrounded by his men.
Kate and the others looked like deers in headlights, just standing there, confused and slightly terrified, with their eyes looking like they’d fall out if they moved. You just nodded their way and rolled your eyes at Bucky and his dramatic entrance into your personal life. He just HAD to come there.
You could feel all the eyes on you as you walked towards the black SUV and the infamous man standing in front of it. Only Nat knew about your relationship, and you thought you’d have a bit more time keeping in secret. But obviously, Bucky’s plans differed from yours and oh boy, would he hear about that one!
You didn’t even spare him a look, giving a small smile to Peter and Sam who were next to Bucky and you got in the car, shutting the door right behind you. You crossed your arms in front of you, clenching your jaw.
You didn’t even know why you were this mad. At first, you thought it was because you didn’t want to be seen with Bucky, his reputation preceding him. But then you realised that you didn’t care about that anymore. Sure, he was a gangster and he, without a doubt, did some things you wouldn’t even want to know about, but when he was with you, and with people he cared about, he was this amazing guy who would do anything for his people. And that’s what you valued the most.
It was that he didn’t even tell you he’d come and very obviously show everybody who you were seeing. It was your privacy as well as his, and you hated that he just made this decision without consulting you.
When he finally got in the car, he immediately turned to you with his eyebrows raised. You huffed out a breath and turned to face the window, not ready to have this fight just yet.
“Would you share with me, what the hell was that all about? Don’t I fucking deserve a kiss, picking up my girlfriend from work? What you so pissed about?”
You didn’t even answer him, not wanting to cause a scene in front of his men. Sam may have been his best friend, and Peter was still a kid, but you knew better than to lecture him in front of them. You just shook your head and waited till you got to your apartment so you could have a civilised conversation with him, which you knew wouldn’t happen in the car.
When Peter pulled over in from of your building, you said your goodbyes to the two in front and nodded at Bucky to follow you. He didn’t even question you, probably curious and pissed as hell you were still not speaking to him.
Once in the apartment, he followed you to your room, closing the door behind the two of you, and once again, raising his brows at you.
“You gonna tell me what’s got your panties twisted or should I fucking deduce it somehow?” He was pissed, alright.
You turned on your heel, facing him with a furious expression.
“Did I ask you to come and pick me up from work? Or did you just DEDUCE that was something I wanted and just fucking acted on it?”
His expression was blank, but you knew that a million thoughts were running through his mind.
“You still on about that bullshit that I’m not boyfriend material and people are gonna judge you? Thought we got over that! Thought you were ok with being my girl,” he raised his voice at you, and you flinched at his tone, but you weren’t about to be intimidated by him. No fucking way!
“And have you ever asked me to be your fucking girlfriend, when you’re running around like a macho, acting as if we were a solid item, huh?”
Bucky was stunned. He told you you were his, and all of that, but he never thought you’d actually want him to ask you to be his girlfriend.
He smirked and took a step closer, you taking one step back. You were not ready to make up just yet.
“I didn’t know it was required, doll. If only I knew, I would’ve asked a lot sooner! I told you you were my girl and you didn’t protest, so I took it you were fine with that. But if you’re not, fine. My beautiful, amazing Y/N, would you do me the honour and be my official girlfriend? Please?”
Well, that please really did that for you. Bucky, and pleading, you wouldn’t get anything better out of him, anyway.
“Since you’re asking so nicely, James,” you accentuated his name and smirked at him, earning a chuckle from him.
“You can be so fucking difficult sometimes. Why didn’t you say so in the car?”
“I was worried we would actually fight and I didn’t want to undermine your authority in front of the guys,” you smiled sweetly at him, and let him pull you in a hug.
“I’d spank your cute ass if you did that! Oh, and I came because I had another question on my mind. Is it a good time to talk to you about something else, or are you still pissed at your boyfriend?”
You swatted his chest lightly.
“What is it, my amazing boyfriend?”
He kissed the crown of your head and pulled you even closer.
“My birthday is coming up, and we have this tradition, that always on my birthday we organise a ball in some specific theme so that we can gather around looking dope as fuck and having a lot of kinky sex. Which, I hope, will be with you this year,” he added quickly, seeing your face turning red.
“Would you come with me, as my date?”

Summer loving - JJ x Reader - Chr 1
Summary: You and Sarah had been best friend forever. Your fathers were friends and business partners, resulting in the two of you meeting often ever since you were little kids and you spending a lot of summers with her on the island. And a lot has changed since you were there last summer. Sarah was now hanging out with the pogues and you were quite nervous to meet them. Apart form that you had developed a small crush on JJ trough all the pictures and stories you got from Sarah. The upcoming summer was going to be an interesting one for sure. (Warning - it’s a slooowburn)
Read the Prologue first!
A/N: First of all thank you all so much for the support on the prologue! It really means a lot to me. I hope you all wil like the first real chapter and I would love to hear what you think about it! I’m quite happy with how it turned out so I'll hope you enjoy it. xx
Words: 2.3K
Warnings: swearing, underage drinking, mentions of sex
“Y/n you’re here!”
Before you could register the body running towards you, you were almost tackled by Sarah as she wrapped you in a hug.
“I’ve missed you so much.” She exclaimed, still hugging you. “This summer is going to be amazing. I’ve got all these things planned and everyone is so exited to meet you.”
“I’ve missed you too!” You laughed as Sarah finally let go of you.
As Sarah rambled on about what you would be doing during the next few weeks you looked around. Not much had changed since you last were here. The only difference was, that now, there were a lot more tourists than during Christmas. The docks were buzzing with all the workers and hopelessly lost visitors. It made you feel at home. You had missed the island and all of its charms.
You spend whole ride to Sarah’s house listening to all the things she had planned.
“Okay so you definitely need to learn how to surf.”
“Why? You never liked surfing before.” You noted with a hint of sarcasm.
“Well yeah that was before I tried it.” She said as she rolled her eyes at you.
“And you know who would be the perfect teacher for you?”
“JJ!” She grinned and began to laugh when she saw your eyes widen.
“No way I’m doing that.” You sputtered. “And for you information I have no desire to learn how to surf.”
“Well that’s a shame because I already asked JJ if he would teach you and he agreed.” She announced proudly. “It would be a good way to get to know each other, since he is the only one you’ve never met before.”
“You did WHAT?” You yelped. “Oh my god I hate you.” You said as you buried your hand in your hands “You are going to be the dead of me Cameron.”.
After you had arrived and greeted Ward and Rose, Sarah showed you your room. You usually bunked up together, but since you were staying for a longer time this summer you had agreed to stay in one of the spare rooms. According to Sarah it had nothing to do with the fact that John B stayed over quite often, but you didn’t buy her bullshit.
“It’s fine Sarah. I get it. You just need to get your John D.” You joked and quickly dodged the hand that came flying to your head.
“Excuse you! At least I’m getting some.” She replied before giving you a wink and disappearing down the hall.
“I’ll be in my room if you need me. We’re leaving at six tonight, don’t be late.” She shouted before you heard her door fall into the lock.
You were going to meet the others at The Wrack, the restaurant owned by Kiera’s parents, for dinner, giving you the afternoon to unpack all of your things and settle in. Your room was situated next to Sarah’s with a bathroom the two of you shared on the opposite side of the hallway.
You plopped onto the bed for a second before you got to work putting away all of your things. After you were done you decided to take a quick shower and get ready before you guys would leave for dinner.
Just before six Sarah barged into you room.
“You ready Y/N?” She asked you.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.” You replied with a small smile.
“Lets go then.”
You had decided to walk to the restaurant since you were going to John B’s afterwards for your ‘welcome party’ and you had agreed to spend the night there. That way you wouldn’t have to worry about getting home after drinking.
When The Wreck came in to sight you unconsciously slowed down. Your nerves suddenly taking over. What if they would not like you. You would ruin the whole summer for everyone. Your mind was already making up every possible scenario how you would screw everything up when Sara took your hand and gave you a reassuring squeeze. She knew how nervous you were to meet the crew.
“It’s alright Y/N.” She said as she gave you a smile and pulled you to the entrance. The restaurant was packed with customers and you and Sarah had to squeeze your way past the people waiting to be too seated, excusing yourself but still earning some dirty looks from them. John B spotted the two of you coming in and waved to get you attention.
“Over here!” He shouted, quickly being shushed by Kiera before she shot her dad an apologetic look.
You walked over to the table and Sarah introduced you to the group.
“Y/N the crew, the crew Y/N.” She said as she gestured between you and them. She quickly gave John B a kiss before plopping down on the empty seat next to him.
“Nice to meet and re-meet all of you.” You joked, earning yourself a laugh from the group sitting at the table.
“It good to see you again Y/N.” Kiera smiled at you and patted the seat next to her “Come sit.”
You sat down between her and Pope, John B sitting across form you. Pope gently nudged you shoulder once you were seated.
“Long time no see.” He said with a smile on his face.
“Yeah it is good te be back.” You smiled back.
Opposite from Pope JJ scraped his throat to get your attention.
“Well, since apparently I’m the only one you’ve never met, I’m JJ.” He said while stretching out his hand to shake yours.
“Nice to finally meet you JJ, I’ve heard a lot about you.” You grinned.
“Okay now that everyone’s introduced, the most important part of this evening.” John B said with a smirk “What are we going to eat?”
The rest of the dinner went by smoothly and you were surprised how easily the group absorbed you. It started with you and John B bonding over your love for cheesy fries and within half an hour you were all talking and laughing together. As you had promised yourself, you made sure to tell some embarrassing story’s about Sarah from when you were younger to get your revenge on her.
You were laughing at one of JJ story’s about him working as a busboy with an enormous hangover and you felt this was your moment to strike.
“You know that makes me think of the first time Sarah and I convinced the bartender we were allowed to drink at some business event from our parents.” You laughed.
Sarah’s head immediately snapped your way.
“Y/N don’t you da..” She threatened you but was quickly muffled by John B’s hand in front of her mouth.
“Halfway through the evening she somehow lost one of her heels and ended up limping around like an idiot before throwing up in one of the bushes.” You continued regardless of Sarah and making everyone but her burst laughing.
“You know Y/N,” JJ laughed “you are exactly what we needed. These are the stories we never hear from Sarah.”
His comment made you smile way too hard and you felt the butterflies come alive in your stomach. You surely had it bad for this boy.
“Okay guys I think it is time to go now.” Sarah proposed, cheeks red form embarrassment.
“You wish is my command, Cinderella” JJ joked before quickly making his way to the exit of the restaurant and blowing a kiss to Sarah as she flipped him off.
The rest of the crew followed him to the van while you and Sarah stayed behind to pay, since you insisted on paying this time.
“You really have a death wish now do you Y/N.” Sarah joked and poked you in your side, making you jump.
“What can I say, I could not not tell them this amazing story.” You smirked at her.
-
The ride to John B was not long, but with six people in the van is was a little cramped. Pope had called shotgun, which left you, Kiera, Sarah and JJ seated in the back. When you entered pretty much all the seating space was taken. You stood there a little hopeless before JJ noticed you.
“You know you can sit on my lap if you want.” He said and wiggled his eyebrows. Leaving you speechless for a second. You were starting to turn red as you opened and closed your mouth trying to find something to say.
“I euh..”
“Kidding Y/N, I’ll scoot over.” He said laughing.
“Oh my god can you keep it in your pants for once Maybank” Kiera jokingly complained.
You seated yourself in the narrow space next to him, being squeezed between him and the side of the van, your cheeks still red with embarrassment.
During the ride you tried not to focus too much on how you body was pressed to JJ. Your shoulders and thighs were touching and every time the van sped up you got pressed together even more. JJ did not seem to notice, as he was talking with Sarah, but you could not help yourself. Your heart was definitely racing harder than usual.
When you looked out of the window you noticed how the houses you passed seemed to get smaller and less comfortable with every passing minute. You had never really been to this side of the island before and it felt like a whole new world opened up to you. The reality outside of Figure Eight.
John B rolled into the driveway and everyone made their way over to the house to plop down on the porch. Kiera went inside to get drinks and handed them to everyone.
As Sarah opened her beer, she raised it to make a toast.
“To the newest member of the crew, Y/N!”
“To Y/N!” Everyone echoed and that was the beginning.
The evening started with one of JJ stupid drinking games to, according to him, ‘get things going’.
“Okay so if you roll 1, 3 or 5 you drink that many sips and if you roll 2, 4 or 6 you get to choose who has to drink the amount of sips.” He explained as if it was one of the most difficult games known to humans.
“So basically you just drink a lot?” You remarked.
“Yeah that’s the idea smart ass.” He pointed out. “We’re here to gave a good time, not a long one.”
The game went on for way too long, until Kiera accidentally dropped the dice between the planks of the wooden deck and you were forced to stop. By that time everyone was pretty drunk already and it was getting quite late. John B and Sarah had gone into the house to ‘get some more to drink’, but when JJ went to check on them he shut the door as soon as he opened it.
“Jeez get a room already.” He grumbled before sitting back down with the rest.
“Fuck of JJ.” you heard John B form inside “You’re just jealous.” Followed by a giggle form Sarah and the slamming of a door.
“Thats my que.” Pope cringed and got up. “Good night everyone see you tomorrow.”
“Yeah I’m leaving too.” Kiera said and got her things to follow Pope. “Bye guys.”
“Be safe! Use protection!” JJ shouted to them as they walked away, causing Kiera to flip him off before they disappeared into the night.
Now that they were gone, you realised how tired you actually were. It had been a long day and you were ready to roll into bed.
“Allright I’m going to bed too.” You yawned and got up to walk into the house.
“Wait you’re sleeping here too?” JJ questioned you surprised.
“Yeah?” You answered not understanding what the problem was. “Sarah said I could sleep on the pull out.”
“Well I’m staying over too.” He explained but due to the alcohol in your system in took a while before you realised what he meant.
‘Oh..” Was all you could bring out.
“It’s alright I’ll just sleep in one of the hammocks.” JJ said with a timid smile already getting up.
“No, no it’s alright.” You said as you reached for his arm to stop him “We’ll just share the bed. You can’t sleep outside.”
“If you don’t mind.” He smiled. “Otherwise I can always sleep on the floor.”
“No it’s fine JJ.” You assured him.
The both of you went inside and got ready for bed. Sarah had dropped off some stuff you could borrow from her earlier today, to make sure you could change into something more comfortable and brush your teeth. When you walked out of the bathroom JJ was already lying on the bed scrolling trough is phone. He was just wearing some short sweatpants that he apparently had lying around and you took a minute to admire the view.
“Take a picture, I’ll last longer.” He quipped as he put his phone aside to look at you.
When you realised he caught you staring you felt your cheeks turning red. You quickly switched off the light so he wouldn’t notice and made your way over to the bed and got in.
You laid awkwardly next to each other for a moment before you forced yourself to get over it and focus on getting some actual sleep.
“Goodnight JJ.” You whispered as you turned to your side, your back facing him.
“Goodnight.” He whispered back.
You felt the blanket shift as he turned as well and within minutes you heard his breath steadying. You could feel the heat his body radiated against your back and you were surprised how comforting it felt. Of course you had shared a bed with someone before, but this time felt different and before you knew it you felt yourself drifting off into a deep sleep.

The bathing suit still fit. Eva was glad of it, she hadn’t had time to go out and shop for a new one. A cherry red halter top paired with high waisted bottoms, she’d purchased it a year or so previous on a whim and only worn it a handful of times. Being a consultant for the DEA didn’t lend itself to lounging by the water. She threw on a soft cotton cover up, stepped into her sandals, and grabbed the fifth of vodka sitting on her counter before walking over to Steve and Connie’s apartment.
The sun was shining brightly that day, as it did most days. And, like most days, the humidity was high. Eva could feel the heat rising from the asphalt as she crossed the parking lot and made her way down the street. When she got to their door, she shifted the vodka to the crook of her arm and knocked.
The door opened and Steve welcomed her in with a wave of his hand. He was wearing swim trunks and an unbuttoned short sleeve shirt, his hair wet and slicked back. She shuffled inside, putting the vodka in the freezer and heading out through the back door to a rectangular courtyard. The pool was encircled by a black metal fence about waist high. She spotted Connie standing next to Javier at the grill, setting down a plate of uncooked meat. She caught sight of Eva and smiled wide beneath her shades.
“C’mon,” she yelled, waving her hand wildly, “We have the pool for about four hours—til the sun goes down.”
Eva returned the wave, passing through the gate and over to where a few lounge chairs were situated, towels hanging over the back. Umbrellas provided each lounge with some shade from the sun.
“Okay,” Eva said, motioning to the courtyard, “Someone in housing definitely hates me. My shower barely works and you’ve got a fucking pool.”
Connie rolled her eyes, “Yeah, with a schedule so tight and political it could run for president. It took two months of sending brownies to the landlord just to get a half day booked.”
Eva squinted at her, “You have to book time?”
Nodding, Connie gestured for Eva to sit on the lounge chair opposite her, “I know, right? There are families here who have standing appointments months out.”
Steve, having followed Eva outside, called out, “What Connie isn’t telling you is that I slipped a stack of money into one of the brownie pans last week. Only way we got the permission.”
“Can’t you just...jump in?”
Connie’s eyes went wide, “Oh, Jesus. Saw someone try to do that the first week here. The guards fucking swarmed them, hauled ‘em out. Haven’t seen them since.”
Sounds about right, Eva thought. Everything seemed to be a quid pro quo down here. She’d seen a couple agents pay off their informants only to turn around and expense it to the department. Money could buy literally anything here.
“Let me tell you what happened yesterday at work,” Connie sighed, turning to lay back on the lounge, “I started at the NICU four months ago and I thought I had a handle on it. But, oh no, one of the other nurses has been taking my reports and shredding them. So, now my boss thinks I just don’t turn in my work.”
“No way,” Eva blurted out, scandalized.
“Yes, way,” Connie confirmed, pushing her sunglasses up on her nose, “So, I started making copies and locking them in my desk. But, I found out one of the maintenance guys has been letting her into it and she’s been taking my copies.”
Eva rested her head on her palm, mouth curling, “What’re you going to do about it?”
Connie smirked, “A little Ipicac in her morning coffee.”
Brows hitting her hairline, Eva’s mouth dropped. Connie was a forceful woman, could be outright domineering when she wanted something, but this was shocking behavior for her.
“Oh, don’t look at me like that. Its harmless. Just a little vomiting during the staff meeting.”
“Does she know you did it?” Eva’s voice came out as a whisper, as if she was trying to keep the story secret.
“Nope,” Connie shook her head, blonde hair falling over one shoulder, “I was pretty slick about it.”
“I’m sure,” Eva confirmed. “One question: How is the behavior going to stop if she doesn’t know it was you who did it?”
Connie shrugged, “Every time one of my copies goes missing, I’ll do it again. She’ll get the picture eventually. I also had Steve get me a false bottom for my desk. I’ll have a third copy waiting, just in case.”
The smell of meat wafted over, a welcome change from the chlorine. Eva glanced at Javier and Steve, both of them staring at the grill intently. Javier was fidgeting with a metal spatula, forearm wiping at his brow.
“Is that a guy thing? Standing by the grill and watching food cook?”
Even though Eva couldn’t see Connie’s eyes behind her shades, she could tell that the other woman was rolling them, “I guess. Every man I know does it.”
“Same here,” Eva said, eyes squinting. “I mean, they’re not even talking.”
Connie laughed a little, reaching into the cooler and handing Eva a beer. She popped the top for her and grabbed one for herself, “I suppose it could be worse.”
“Could be fireworks.”
Brows raised, Connie asked, “Is there a story there?”
“Ah,” Eva edged, “When I was a kid, my parents used to have this block party on the fourth with this huge fireworks display. One of the neighbors built a potato cannon that they primed with hairspray. One year they shot roman candles out of it.”
Jaw open, Connie took a few seconds to reply, “Did...someone get hurt?”
“Oh, no,” Eva clarified, dismissing the thought with a wave of her hand, “A window got knocked out, but no one got hurt.”
A while later, Eva was fanning herself with her hand, sweat falling down her neck. In the late afternoon, the sun beat down on them. Even with the umbrellas above, Eva could feel her body fighting to keep itself cool. Standing, she pulled off her cover up.
“I’m getting in,” she declared, “I can’t take it any more.”
Connie laughed and stood with her, “I’ll go with you. Nice suit, by the way.”
Eva thanked her, returning the sentiment. Connie was wearing a canary yellow one piece, the thighs cut high to highlight her muscular thighs. She threw off her sunglasses and pulled her hair atop her head into a tight bun. Eva wished she’d thought to bring a hair tie. She’d never really been concerned about the way her hair curled in irregular little ringlets and waves before, but knowing that Horacio would be stopping by afterwards made her a little self conscious. With a little effort, she shrugged it off and darted out to the edge of the pool, jumping in.
The water was cool, a shock to her body as it enveloped her. Eva felt the air rush out of her lungs as she sunk beneath the surface. Her feet touched down and she kicked hard, breaching the water with a sharply indrawn breath.
Wiping the water from her eyes, she laughed at Connie, who had used the ladder to drop daintily into the pool.
“I haven’t done that since I was a kid,” she said, her cheeks hurting a bit with the force of her smile.
Connie nodded enthusiastically, “We had a pool, too. Above ground. Mom would make us wear pool floats the whole time we were in it.”
Eva shook her head, “I suppose there’s something to be said for safety. I was an only child, so my parents let me do whatever I wanted, mostly.”
“Are they still around?”
Eva swallowed, her eyes falling to the water she was swishing between her fingers, “No, they died a long time ago.”
“Oh, my God,” Connie gasped, “I’m sorry. How did it happen, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“It was an accident,” Eva explained.
It was the same explanation that she’d given a million people before and would likely continue to give. A plane crash. No survivors. They were headed to a little resort that Josh had booked for their anniversary. Eva could still remember what her mother’s face had looked like when Josh handed her the tickets—excited and charmed. It turned her stomach.
Connie read her expression and approached slowly, arms pushing through the water, “Was it… was it because of your husband? Because of the things he did?”
Eva had been as honest as she could about the things that had occurred in her marriage, had told Connie about the way she learned to cover bruises, about how she used the work to give her purpose even though she knew it resulted in the destruction of people’s lives, about how he hurt her less when she did a good job.
“Yeah,” she croaked. “Um, I tried to run away—had a passport and some cash hidden. I can’t prove it, but I think he killed them to make a point.”
“Jesus fucking Christ, Eva,” Connie breathed. “That’s horrifying.”
Eva blinked at Connie, trying to smile, “It was a long time ago. I’ve made my peace with it.”
“That’s not something you make peace with.”
She was right, Eva hadn’t made peace with it, not really. It had taken a long time for her to stop feeling guilty and to place the blame solely on Josh. It was part of the reason that she was able to kill him that night. She’d channeled all that rage into the fight, and she’d finally come out the victor.
“I got him back, though, didn’t I?” She said, chin lifting.
“Yes, you did.”
They swam for a while, until the food was done. Steve called out to them, a pair of tongs clapping together in one hand. They ate off paper plates, beers fresh from the cooler dripping condensation onto the cement below.
After wards, Eva laid back on the lounge, feeling sleepy. She kept a beer next to her, drinking from it lazily. One arm thrown over her head, she stretched her legs out long, enjoying the sun and relaxation. That’s how Horacio found her. Eyes closed, half shaded by the umbrella, suit drying out on her body. She heard him walk up and sit on the lounge next to hers.
Eva opened her eyes and smiled, “Hey.”
“Hey.”
She sat up, swinging her legs around so that she could face him, “You get everything done at work?”
He nodded, “Got some paperwork in the truck I need to finish. I parked at your place, I hope you don’t mind.”
“That’s no problem, you park there most of the time anyways.”
That was very much the truth. They hadn’t spent many nights away from one another, almost all of them at her place. Horacio told her that he liked her apartment better than his house because it was cozier. Eva could see why. She’d finally gotten to see his house, and it was sparsely decorated, indicative of a man who lived at work and only slept when he had to.
“Did you eat?” she asked.
Another nod, “Since its a Saturday, we order take out for the guys.”
Eva started to reach out to touch him, but the first two fingers of his right hand lifted quickly, stopping the motion.
“There are a lot of eyes here.”
Right. Although he hadn’t explained in detail, Javier had let it slip during a meeting that Carillo had a literal bounty on his head. In his fight against the rise of drugs in the country, he’d ruffled a lot of feathers. And, that made anyone associated with him vulnerable. When they were in public, he kept a distance between them and, outside of rare occasions, he didn’t touch her. The longer they were together, to more strict he became about it. Eva was still adjusting.
Eva pointed to the swim trunks he was wearing, “Did you go home to change or did you wear this to the office?”
Shooting her a sardonic look he asked, “What do you think?”
“I know, I know,” she replied, “God forbid you show up anything less than immaculate.”
It was probably the only point of contention between them. He always got up early to get dressed for the day. Eva argued constantly that he could go in one day without going through his entire routine, his coworkers wouldn’t notice. He argued back that he was supposed to be setting an example and that meant ironing his undershirt. She hadn’t yet managed to convince him to sleep in with her, his internal clock kicking in like….well, clockwork.
Now, though, he was wearing teal colored swim trunks and one of his more casual polo shirts. His hair was still combed back from his face, the curls tamed by the pomade he kept next to his aftershave on her bathroom counter. He’d taken a little extra time to shave that morning.
Eva gestured towards the cooler, “Go get yourself a beer. Relax for two seconds.”
She watched him as he rose and sauntered over to the little cooler by the grill, greeting the others along the way. Connie stepped over and sat next to her, leaning a little into Eva’s space.
She handed Eva a fresh beer, saying, “So… you guys are good?”
Eva nodded, “Yep.”
Connie stared at her.
“What?”
“You like him.”
Eva snorted, “Of course I like him. We literally discussed this a few days ago.”
“No, I mean you really like him,” Connie clarified, “You do this thing where the more you want something, the less you talk about it.”
Looking at her with a flustered expression, “What the fuck am I supposed to say to that?”
Connie took a swig from the bottle in her hand, “I don’t know, maybe admit that you like him more than you let on and you’re afraid that its going to self destruct because you’re both working dangerous jobs in a dangerous country where one or both of you could be killed and the pressure is a little too high for such a new relationship.” She took a deep breath, “And that scares the shit out of you.”
Eva’s mouth thinned as she regarded her friends, “Way to put it so succinctly.”
“Thank you.” A beat, “So, are you going to admit it?”
Eva glared.
Connie rolled her eyes, “Alright, don’t admit it. We both know its true.”
“Oh, fuck off,” Eva glowered. Then, after taking just a moment to think about it, she said, “He thinks I’m going to become a target if they find out.”
She didn’t have to say who ‘they’ were. Connie knew, had married into it.
“That’s possible.”
“I don’t know how to prove that I’m not scared. Hell, I was on the other side of this fifteen years ago. I know the risks.”
Connie rolled a shoulder, resting her arms on her knees, her gaze following her husband as he told yet another wild story, “Sounds like you’ve given this a lot of thought.”
“Some thought,” Eva agreed.
“Sounds like you’re willing to take on those risks.”
“Some risks.”
“Sound like you just admitted you like him a lot.”
“Jesus, Connie,” Eva grumbled.
Flashing a smile at Eva, Connie cajoled, “Is it that hard to admit?”
“Given my last long standing relationship ended in literal murder, I would say I’ve got grounds to be cautious.”
Lifting a finger, Connie asserted firmly, “Cautious, not cowardly.”
She had a point. Eva kind of resented her for it.
They spent another hour or so talking among themselves, until the cooler ran out of beer.
“I bet that vodka’s good and cold,” Eva announced, heading for the gate. She didn’t bother with a towel or her cover up, already mostly dry from the sun.
Connie threw up her hands, “Yes! There’s orange juice in the fridge. And, another six pack.”
“I’ll help,” Carrillo offered, following Eva towards the door.
The sliding glass rumbled as she pulled it open, pushing through the vertical blinds to duck inside. The air conditioning hit her hard, goosebumps rising over her skin. She hissed a little bit, rubbing at her arms as she made her way across the kitchen to the fridge. Behind her, the heavy glass door slid closed.
Bare feet shuffling across the tile, Eva opened the fridge and found the six pack and orange juice, setting them on the counter beside her before pulling the vodka out of the freezer. It was definitely cold enough, the bottle immediately frosting despite the cool air.
“You know, there’s going to come a time when I’ll be able to out drink Connie, but today is not going to be that day,” she said with a smile.
Eva stood and ran abruptly into Horacio, who reached behind her to shut the freezer door, the other hand taking the bottle from her and setting it next to the orange juice and the beer. Without further preamble, he leaned down and kissed her hard. She squeaked a little, unprepared for it, before settling into the motion.
He pulled away, hands skimming her waist and hips, “I’ve been meaning to do that since I got here.”
Eva wrapped her arms around his shoulders, “I think we’ve discussed that you’re free to kiss me whenever you want.”
“Not always,” he replied, the implication heavy in his tone.
She gave a little bob of her head in understanding, “Still, offer’s on the table.”
“Noted,” he whispered before leaning down and kissing her again. Slower. Deeper. “Have I told you how much I like kissing you?”
Eva smiled as she ruffled the little hairs on the nape of his neck, “The feeling is mutual.”
Hands spanning her waist, he gazed down the length of her body, “Have I told you how much I like this suit.” His grip tightened the tiniest bit, “So much skin.”
At this, Eva’s smile morphed into an abashed laugh, “You’ve seen me in less.”
His brows quirked, mouth curving into an almost but not quite smile, “Usually, I can touch you.”
“You’re touching me now, Big Guy.”
She watched his lips as he pulled them in between his teeth, pressing lightly before letting go. He pulled her into him until they were pressed together, standing between the counter and the island that separated the kitchen from the living room. Little kisses trailed up her neck to her jaw, and finally to her mouth. Though his arms held her tight, his mouth was soft and gentle, tongue snaking out to taste.
The easiness of the kiss, the fact that they’d been apart for almost a day, the knowledge that once they stepped back outside she couldn’t touch him again until they were safely ensconced in her apartment made Eva greedy to have what she could, when she could. Despite the fact that he wasn’t doing much more than holding her, she felt the echo of arousal bloom in her belly. Lifting up onto her toes, she deepened the kiss, tilting her hips into him.
His response was...absolutely to be expected. Thigh pushing between her legs, he walked her back to the counter until it dug into her lower back. One hand came up to grip her damp hair, angling her head back so that he could press his face into her neck. Eva tried to roll her chin down to get at him again, but he held her still.
Dark eyes looked up at her from beneath his lashes, “As soon as we get back to your apartment.”
It took her maybe half a second to process his meaning, and then she was giving a quick jerk of her head. He breathed deeply, taking in her scent, before stepping away. Shoulders tense, he picked up the orange juice and six pack and gesturing towards the sliding glass doors.
With shaking hands, Eva grabbed the vodka, thankful for the freezing bottle. She pressed it to her belly, walking ahead of Horacio. By the pool, the group had gathered on the lounge chairs.
Eva held up the bottle as she approached, “I come bearing gifts!”
“Ah, Jesus,” Javier groaned, leaning over to stage whisper to Steve, “I don’t think I’m up for this.”
Connie rolled her eyes as she took to bottle from Eva, cracking it open, “Man up, Javier. This is a party.”
He reached into the pocket of his jacket, hanging from the back of the chair, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, “All your parties end in fights.”
“Excuse me,” Connie retorted, offended, “One party ended in a fight, thank you very much.”
Eva frowned, “Is this the bar fight, gun fight?”
Beside Connie, Steve dropped his head into his palm, shaking it. Javier took a drag and blew out the smoke. Connie glared.
“So, here’s what happened,” Javier said, making room for Carrillo to sit by him. “We’re at a work thing, schmoozing with the big wigs in the department. Usual stuff. One guy gets a little drunk and makes a pass at Connie, who proceeds to grab his hand and break it.”
“Sprain it,” Connie cut in. “I sprained it. Barely.”
Javier scoffed, “Anyways, the guy happens to be a major player for this political group who gave us money. They don’t give us money anymore.”
Connie handed Eva a cup—vodka and orange juice, “What was I supposed to do? Let the guy grab my ass in a room full of people.”
Eva thought about it, “I agree with Connie. Break his fucking hand.”
“Thank you,” Connie said, touching Eva’s arm in solidarity.
“One thing I don’t understand,” Eva said, crossing one leg over the other, “How is that a fight?”
Javier’s brows lifted as he recalled, “Oh, right. Steve got in the guy’s face.”
Eva made a sound of disbelief, “Alright, no. This wasn’t Connie’s fault, Steve’s the one who escalated things.”
“What was I supposed to do?” he echoed Connie’s sentiment.
She shrugged, “I’m not the best person to answer that question.”
Three pairs of eyes crept over to Carrillo, who was already shaking his head, “I probably would have done the same.”
Eva had to take a deep drink from her cup to cover the expression unfolding on her face. She couldn’t help the image of him pushing into someone’s space, a threat spoken lowly. His thick frame blocking any hope of escape. Eva thought she’d like to see that someday.
“That’s not the point,” Javier cut in.
“What is the point?” Connie asked.
“That your parties end in fights.”
“One party—not even my party.”
“Oh, for Christ’s sake,” Eva blurted, setting down her cup. She grabbed Connie’s hand, “Let’s go.”
Tugging the woman along, Eva hauled ass towards the pool tumbling headfirst into the water. She heard a second splash nearby, and she smiled beneath water as she kicked to the surface. Breaching, Eva pushed her hair back from her face, her eyes going wide as she caught a body flying over her, sending a wave of water over her. She ducked under, hearing a third splash.
Coming up laughing, she spotted both Javier and Steve swimming away, Connie following not far behind, shouting. She looked up, smiling at Carrillo, who was popping to top off a beer.
“You gonna join us?”
He looked dubious.
“Oh, don’t tell me you can’t swim,” Eva wheedled before ducking down and pushing off the edge of the pool to shoot out towards the center.
She popped up next to Javier, dodging Connie as she pushed him under. Tiptoeing around Steve, Eva put a little distance between them, her wide smile dropping as she looked down to the other side. Carrillo had set down his beer and was walking towards the pool, tugging off his polo. She would never, ever get used to it. Eva had spent many nights holding onto those shoulders, feeling him move between her thighs, and she was still struck dumb. He caught her eye, and though his expression didn’t change, she could tell that he was gloating. With sure movements, he gave a little bounce and then his arms swung forward as he executed a seamless dive into the pool.
Righting herself, Eva leaned against the wall of the pool, flicking water at Connie, who swam up beside her.
“Please tell me you…”
“Yeah.”
“And its…”
“Yeah.”
“Really?”
“Yeah,” Eva confirmed with a long sigh.
They relaxed in the water as the sun started it descent towards the horizon. Eva held her position against the wall, talking with Connie and trying like hell to keep her eyes and her hands off Horacio. It seemed all too easy for him to act casually—a little sarcasm here, a little small talk there. She envied that ability. Her body, already attuned to him, seemed constantly on edge. Anticipation simmering under her skin to the point that she was surprised the water around her wasn’t gently steaming.
Too soon, a couple men in uniforms approached the gate, yelling out towards them. Connie grumbled and loudly announced that their time was at an end. They were, evidently, being forced out. After gathering the cooler and towels, they headed inside.
The phone was ringing, pausing the conversation for a moment. Steve answered it, speaking for a few minutes, then hanging it up. He looked annoyed.
“Well, looks like we’re heading into the office tomorrow.”
Connie scowled, “Its a Sunday.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Steve replied with a shake of his head, “We’ve got a meeting. You too, Carrillo.”
Beside her, Carrillo put his hands on his hips, “They tell you want its about?”
“Nope, just said we report in at eight.”
Eva pushed her wet hair back from her face then pulled her cover up over her body despite the fact that her suit was still pretty wet, “They say anything about me coming in?”
Steve opened the cooler and popped the top off another beer, “No. I think its just us three.”
She nodded. Highly classified meeting, then. She didn’t want to admit that she felt left out, so she shrugged and said, “Alright. I’m going to head home. Thank you for having me over, Connie.”
Connie hugged her, “Thanks for coming over and saving me from hearing more about office politics.”
They said their goodbyes and Eva headed out into the night, stars just beginning to shine above her. A little tipsy, she strolled along leisurely, not surprised when Carrillo followed.
“That was really fun,” she said when he moved up beside her, keeping pace.
He made a noncommittal sound, his gaze focused in front of them.
“When was the last time you actually spent a weekend afternoon not attached to your desk doing paperwork?”
Or, attached to her kitchen island, or the little dining room table in the nook of his house. More often than not, he brought files home with him. Eva had seen him sign his name so many times she could have probably forged it by now.
Lifting a shoulder, he replied, “Its been a long time.”
Eva scratched at the skin above her brow, a little unsure of herself, “You should do things for fun more often.”
He looked at her, “I assume you have ideas.”
“I might,” she said coyly, spinning to walk backwards in front of him, “There’s apparently some beautiful scenery, here. We could go hiking.”
His brows lifted and she could see a ghost of a smile, “We could do that.”
“Alright, its decided, then. We’ll go hiking when you get some time off.”
Eva knew that it was a long shot that he’d have more than a day off at a time, if past history was anything to go by. Still, it was nice to make plans, ambiguous as the timing may be. She hadn’t ever made plans like this before, and the prospect made her warm inside.
Keying into her apartment, Eva left the door open for him to come in. She started to say something innocuous about being home again, but she was cut off. Horacio grabbed her by the arm, pulling her into his body and kissed her. She gave a stilted gasp, arms coming up to rest on his biceps.
Hands traveling down her body, he scrunched the fabric of her cover up in his palms, pulling it up and over her head. When he slipped the pads of his fingers down into her suit bottoms, Eva stepped back, pulling him along with her.
“I have to get this chlorine out of my hair,” she explained, pacing backwards towards the bathroom, “You want to join me?”
Fire sparked in his eyes, his steps guiding her back and into her bedroom, rounding the corner and pushing her into the bathroom. As she moved to turn on the taps, he pulled at the ties of her top, throwing the fabric to the floor. After doing the same with her bottoms, he yanked her back into his chest, one hand tracing down her stomach in a confident caress.
He cupped her mound, fingers sliding through her folds and pressing firmly. Eva swallowed back a moan, head tipped back as he kissed along her shoulder down to her collarbone. Steam began to fill the room, heat wafting from the shower. She reluctantly pulled away, tugging off his shirt and swim trunks and stepping into the spray.
Eva half expected that he would push her against the tile and fuck her against it. His touch was impatient in a way that was new and shot heat straight into her core. She was, however, surprised to find that he reached down and grabbed her shampoo, lathering it through her strands thoroughly. He crowded her under the water, tilting her head around to rinse the suds away. She watched him grab a loofah and pour some body wash on it, her skin sizzling with anticipation.
Long, careful strokes swept the pool water from her body. She could feel the arousal that was always at a low simmer ramping up even though his touch wasn’t remotely sexual. Unable to help herself, she pressed a kiss to his sternum, resting her forehead against his chest. He sighed, his arms wrapping around her.
Wanting to return the favor, Eva reached back and took the loofah from him, running it over his broad chest, his stomach, his thighs. Though his erection bobbed up between them, she avoided it for the moment. Switching sides with him, she let the water fall over his body, her hands pushing the soap down towards the tub.
Dropping the loofah, Eva grabbed the shampoo and poured just a little into her hand, arms lifting to gently scrub it through his curls, finally free of the pomade he regularly combed through it. Using her nails, she lightly scratched at his scalp, smiling when his eyes closed in pleasure. Tilting his head back, Eva rinsed the shampoo from his hair, hands tracing down his face and neck.
Leaning down, Horacio’s lips found hers, his tongue darting out to taste. The water falling over his back sluiced down to run between her breasts and down her stomach. Eva pressed against him rolling her hips invitingly.
He broke the kiss with a moan, one hand grabbing her ass. Eva knew that, if she didn’t act quickly, he’d slot his fingers inside her and she would cease to be able to think, let alone respond. The omega in her loved that he was taking care of her, reveled in it, even. But the omega in her also wanted to make him want her just as much as she wanted him, wanted him feeling wild with it.
Lightly, so as to not give herself away, Eva traced down his chest, palm turning so that she could grasp him in her hand. He rested his forehead against her temple, mouth open, breath stuttering. She pumped him slowly, but firmly, wrist twisting at the top.
When the hand holding her hip started to dip down towards her center, Eva stopped him, holding him by the wrist. She kissed him, teeth catching at his lower lip. The wrist in her palm flexed as he tried to pull free. Eva shook her head, stroking him just a little faster. He groaned, pushing his thigh between hers, using the hand on her ass as leverage to drag her clit against him.
He breathed her name, the sound of it loud against the tiled walls. Eva felt her chest swell at the strain in his tone, power building with every choked moan, every sigh. She watched him lick his lips, her gaze dropping to his cock. He was hard, pulsing, his hips tilting towards her. It was a sight that she knew would always be with her, a feverish memory locked intimately with his scent.
As she contemplated dropping to her knees, the water began to turn cold. Eva laughed as he hissed, spinning to turn off the faucet. When he looked at her, Eva’s laughed faded, blood rushing in her ears at the intensity of his expression. He ushered her out of the tub, hands pushing her forward. Impatient, he hauled her up and over his shoulder, walking quickly to the bed.
He tossed her down, her body bouncing with the force. Eva watched him crawl over her, the muscles of his body flexing with every motion. More deep, intense kisses followed, his hands arranging her beneath him. When she reached for him, he swatted her away, lifting to his knees. Balanced over her, Horacio opened the nightstand to grab a condom.
When he paused, brows together, Eva asked him what was wrong, her voice a hoarse rasp.
His eyes closed, his chin dropping to his chest, “We’re out.”
She squinted up at him, “Out?”
“Of condoms, we’re out.”
That was impossible. She’d gone out and bought some maybe two days ago, they couldn’t possibly…Her brain very eagerly explained that they had been having a lot of sex. Eva tried to suppress it, but the giggle burst forth, her hands coming up to cover her face.
Horacio looked down at her, mouth half smiling, “I’m glad you’re amused.”
Affectionately, Eva pulled him down to her, rolling them to their sides, “C’mere.”
Her name was a warning as it passed his lips, but she shut him up with a kiss. Stroking along his skin, Eva kept kissing him until he relaxed against her, big body falling deep into the mattress. Arms wrapping around her, he rolled to his back, pulling one of her legs over his thigh. Hands on her hips, he encouraged her to move on him.
Eva couldn’t get close enough, her hands falling to his shoulders, using them to help her get friction on her clit. She ground down on him, her slick coating his skin and easing the movement. Still, she couldn’t quite get there. Her arousal burned through her, soaking into her very bones, but she couldn’t make herself come.
Sweat beaded on her temples, her muscles burning. She bit down on her lip, eyes closed. It wasn’t going to work, not when she could feel him pressed against her hip. Not when all she wanted was to be stuffed so full of him that she could barely move.
Shifting, Eva wavered over his body, weight on her palms as she kissed him, licking into his mouth. Moving determinedly, she opened her hips and swung her leg up and over, straddling him. The first contact seared through her, and her body screamed out that this was much better. She rocked against him, hands falling to his chest for balance.
“Yes,” he breathed, urging her faster, hands pulling at her hips, her thighs, “Like that, just like that.”
Eva picked up the rhythm he was guiding her to, her body working to get off. This was so, so much better, but she still couldn’t get there. She felt on fire from it, a whimpering, desperate mess. The orgasm was so fucking close, but not even his thumb circling over her clit was pushing her over the edge.
He pulled her down, sandwiching his cock between them, hips arching towards her. Horacio planted kiss after kiss over her neck, her chest, her jawline, her mouth. Little yearning growls sounded in the space between them. Eva pulled her knees beneath her, letting her hips open so that she could rub as much of her pussy against him as she could.
Every upward thrust brushed against her clit, every twist of her hips, coated him from root to tip. The pace picked up, and Eva’s eyes rolled back when their bodies aligned perfectly so that the head breached her just a little, sliding in then out and along the length of her folds.
Eva moaned his name, her nails digging into his shoulders. Beneath her, Horacio groaned long and low, eyes squeezed shut. Suddenly, he rolled her over, most of his weight falling atop her. His hands held her to the mattress so that he could grind down on her. Even though she could barely breathe, Eva let out a pleased gasp. The force of his body pushing against her, the way he buried his face in her neck, arms holding her tight, all of it pushed her pleasure higher.
“So good, so good,” she chanted, hands in his hair.
Lifting a little, he looked down between them, his cock pushing up through her her folds, wet and swollen. Hips fluid, he grabbed her ass in one hand, pulling her to him. Eva braced her feet on the mattress, shifting beneath him to get that feeling of him opening her up just a bit. It was almost enough, that tiny breach followed by a hard drag across her clit.
Giving a frustrated grunt, he dropped onto an elbow, catching her chin and forcing her to look at him, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you have to stop trying to fuck me, Eva.”
She whined, wrapping her fingers around his wrist, “I can’t help it. I want it. Please, Horacio.” She stole a kiss, “Feels so good with you inside me. Love when you fuck me.”
Against her, he pulsed, hips jerking. He blinked down at her, jaw unhinged. Deep breaths, grip tight, “Evangeline. Listen...listen. I’m gonna.” The thought alone seemed to spur him on, movements snapping against her, “I’m gonna… you need to listen. When I tell you, you need to let me pull out.”
Eager, she nodded, taking another kiss as he lined himself up and pushed inside. This, this was what she needed. Fuck, but he felt bigger than he ever had, the stretch tight. Eva arched, pushing her breasts into his chest, neck exposed for him to mouth along. Her body clenched so tight he couldn’t get more than an inch or two inside.
“Fuck, Eva. You have to let me in.” The words were half growled against her neck, teeth pressed against her skin.
She bit down on her response, “I’m trying.”
He pulled back, another thrust stunted by the squeeze of her cunt. His fists clenched beside her head, a wordless groan sounding.
“Try harder.”
Eva breathed deeply, trying to form coherent thoughts, “Maybe if you, if I...if you let me on top.”
He shook his head hard, “No. No—feels too good when you ride me.”
A laughed bubbled up, Eva cupped his face, catching his eyes, “Its supposed to feel good.”
“Too good. Come too fast,” he breathed, then, “How are you still so fucking tight?”
He still hadn’t bottomed out inside her, and Eva’s desperation grew every time he pulled out and pushed in again. She wanted him deeper, harder, wanted him to hold her down and leave bruises in his wake. In between breaths a plan formed. Eva reached down and grasped his hips for purchase, pulling him down as she rotated her hips up. Yes, yes! The feeling spanned electric down her spine.
With a curse, he snagged her hands, yanking them above her head, her name a warning on his lips. She arched her back, her hips working against him, moving on him from below. Ignoring a second warning, Eva rolled her hips as best she could, taking him further and further. He’d stilled above her, eyes watching as she moved.
His hands gripped her tighter, voice rough, “Look at you.”
She kept throwing her hips up until she’d worked him all the way inside, the feeling short circuiting any ability to think beyond the ‘more, more more’ that chanted in her head.
“There you go,” he praised, “Take what you need. Take it from me.”
The snap of his hips resumed, shoving his cock inside her and hitting every pleasurable spot she had. Eva felt a sharp, high pitched gasp rush out of her. Words fell from her lips, encouraging him, telling him how good it felt, how much she needed him, nonsense syllables rising along with the orgasm that fairly exploded outward from her center, her muscles locking down on him from the inside.
He rode her through as much of it as he could before he pulled away, reaching down to stroke himself—fast, hard pumps until he was spilling over her lower stomach. Still breathing hard, Eva leaned up and wiped the sweat from his brow, kissing his cheek softly. His come dripped over her mound, falling down over her lips. He watched it with dark eyes, jaw tight.
With one hand, he pushed her back to the mattress, the other threw a leg over his shoulder as he moved down the bed, mouth on her before she could draw her next breath. Eva might have had the capacity to be embarrassed by the sounds coming out of her, the choked, half screamed moans, but her body was already skyrocketing towards another orgasm. What pushed her over the edge was the sight of his hand, resting on her pelvic bone, sliding upwards to drag his come over her skin, his eyes watching her face. She threw back her head, cunt clenching down hard enough that her vision blacked out momentarily.
For a long time, she could only stare at the ceiling as she tried to catch her breath. She felt him move, heard his footsteps, sighed at the warm cloth he dragged over her sensitive skin so tenderly. He threw the cloth towards the bathroom, gathering her in his arms. She fell asleep to the feeling of him kissing her shoulder softly.

An apple a day
Pairing: Doctor!Jensen x Reader
Summary: You were just having a bad day, that’s it. I mean, dislocating an arm while carrying cartons into your new apartment? That could happen to everyone. But intentionally miss three vaccination appointments? That could only happen to you. If only the doctor wasn't so cute...
Word Count: 2,507
Warnings: Fluff, mentions of pain and injuries, syringes and stitches
Author’s Note: This story is based on a request by @myopiamystical So reader has an accident. And she gets dislocated arm or leg. She is brought to ER, the doc is Jensen. Reader is allergic to most of the sedatives so Jensen has to relocate it with reader being conscious. This scene + the very same day, later reader has to take some injections (2-3) which she is very afraid to take it from nurse, Jensen overhears and does it himself. Can you write these two with all the fluff? Jensen asking her out, inviting her over dinner since she was just released from hospital and the whole date? I changed it slightly but I hope you like it. This one is long. Enjoy and shower it with love.
"Gabe, I'm fine! I already said that!" you repeated in annoyance as your future neighbor pulled you into the emergency room. "Now come on, Y/N," he said and dragged you toward the emergency room by grabbing your arm. "Ouch..." you hissed and tore your arm away from him as you rubbed across it to dull the pain. He raised his hands apologetically. "It's okay. It's okay." Gabriel held the door open for you and immediately the biting scent of antiseptic hit you. Men and women in scrubs hurried around, caring for patients. You meandered your way through the chaos to the reception. The cold light shimmered on the bright tiles on the floor and everything was white and turquoise. Typical hospital. The receptionist didn't even notice you until Gabe finally cleared his throat.
"Excuse me. My friend here-" He demonstratively put his arm around you, but you stiffened under his touch and escaped his embrace. "She's moving and she got caught. Her arm is hurting a lot," he explained. He probably meant well, but you were quite capable of talking yourself. You denied it. "It's not so bad..." you said, looking at the dirty tips of your sneakers. She checked you out and then handed you a clipboard. "Fill this out in the waiting room." she ordered and nodded towards the waiting room. You nodded. Gabe was about to follow you when you turned around again. He was a nice guy, but you hadn't known him long. "Thanks for bringing me here, Gabriel. You don't have to wait anymore. I can handle it." you said, hoping he'd take a hint. Of course he didn't. "Oh, nonsense, it's no problem. I'll wait with you, neighbour." He winked at you and you sighed inside. "All right, neighbour." You mumbled and sat down.
Eagerly you began to fill in the sheet. Complaints, medications, allergies. You were allergic to many sedatives and wrote that down on the paper. Last tetanus vaccine? You had to think about it, so you tapped your pen against your lip. You had no idea. You didn't like getting vaccinated. You weren't anti-vaccination, but you were afraid of injections. So you crossed the line and brought the clipboard back to the reception.
A few minutes later a blonde doctor's assistant appeared in the doorway and called your name. "Ms. Y/N L/N?" She read it out loud and looked up. "Yes, that's me!" you said, rising from your chair. "Follow me, please." She led you through the hallways into a white-painted consulting room. She must have sensed that you were uncomfortable, because she smiled at you. "Please sit down. Dr. Ackles will be with you in two minutes." With these words she closed the door and left you alone in the sterile room. Your gaze wandered and you looked at the various information panels and anatomical drawings on the walls. On the desk in front of you was a model of a human eye and the walls were decorated with drawings made by children. Almost always there were suns, rainbows or a house with a child on it. "Thank you, Dr Ackles" was written on it in scrawly letters.
Suddenly the door opened and the doctor entered. He was wearing a white coat and a stethoscope was hanging around his neck. He had blond hair and looked young. The turquoise shirt stretched over his muscular upper body and he definitely looked good. He smiled at you in a friendly way. "Good afternoon Ms.-" He glanced quickly at the clipboard in his hand. "L/N. I am Dr. Jensen Ackles." His green eyes sparkled as he gave you his hand, which you shook with your uninjured arm. His handshake was warm and firm.
He settled on the other side of the desk opposite you. "Well, Ms L/N, how can I help you?" he asked with a friendly smile. "Well..." you started. "I'm moving and I'm in the middle of a mess. I was taking apart a shelf and I got caught on an old nail. The nail scratched my forearm, but we fixed that. The thing is, the pain made me abruptly snap. Then my shoulder cracked and now I can't move my arm anymore," you said and looked a little ashamed to the side.
Dr. Ackles immediately stood up and circled the desk. "Let's have a look." he said, looking at your shoulder. "The joint is definitely dislocated and should be put back into place." he noted seconds later. He hurriedly took a look at the clipboard. "It says you can't take sedatives, so we'll have to do it without," he explained and you swallowed. "Don't worry. It'll be quick and it will only hurt for a moment." He reassured you when he saw your concern. You nodded reluctantly. "All right," you agreed.
Gently, he placed his hands on your shoulder. "Let's count to three together, yeah? Then I pop your shoulder in. So, ready?" he asked. "Yes," you replied, clenching your teeth together. "All right. One." You breathed more rapidly. "Two." Suddenly, he pushed hard on your shoulder and the joint snapped back into place. "Ouch." You sucked in the air through your teeth. A sharp pain shot through your shoulder. Then the pain ebbed and turned into a dull throb in the background. You moved your arm in disbelief. "Didn't we say on three?" you asked and a laugh escaped your lips. Dr Ackles agreed. "I'm sorry. It's a trick I often use on children because they're less prepared and less afraid, then." He smiled at you crookedly and shrugged his shoulders apologetically. His hand casually brushed across your neck before he stepped away from you.
"Now, let's have a look at that scratch," said Dr Ackles, urging you to roll up your sleeve. He opened the bandage and examined the wound with a professional eye. "The wound is badly reddened at the edges. Have you cleaned it?" he asked. You shook your head and bit your lip uncertainly. A worry line appeared on his forehead. "A rusty nail, you say? When was your last tetanus vaccination?" the blond man asked with concern. You shrugged your shoulders. "I-I don't know. I-I - well... I'm pretty scared of needles." you mumbled and he nodded. "What happened after you dislocated your arm?" he asked further and made some notes. Then his green eyes found yours again. "Well." Embarrassed, you tugged at your shirt. "I fell down and hit my head on the floor," you muttered. "Did you pass out afterwards?" the young doctor asked immediately. You nodded tentatively while he disinfected the wound.
"All right, Ms L/N. In any case, you must spend the night in the hospital under observation. There is a suspicion of a concussion." he explained to you after lighting into your eyes. You nodded softly. "Very good. I will now give you some medicine. Amber, my assistant will help you take them and then bring you to a room where you can spend the night. We'll get you a tetanus vaccination tomorrow." You tried to block the thought of the upcoming vaccination. "Thank you, Dr. Ackles." He nodded at you with a smile, looked like he had something to say, but then Amber came into the room. Dr. Ackles was needed in another room.
You had Amber tell Gabriel you were spending the night in the hospital. Gabriel wanted to see you again, but Amber insisted it wasn't a good idea because you needed rest. He brought you a duffel bag with your toiletries and clothing in the late afternoon.
You had already been lying on the bed in your room for several hours, surfing through the internet in boredom. You were accommodated on the third floor of the hospital and listened to what was going on in the corridor. Shoes squeaked on the linoleum and every few seconds a door slammed. You glanced through the floor-to-ceiling windows and watched the sun set slowly behind the building complex. It bathed your room in an orange light and every move you made cast long shadows on the wall with the door to the hallway.
A knock tore you away from your thoughts. Before you could say anything, the door opened at almost the same moment. Dr. Ackles' blond head appeared in the doorway as he peered into the room. "May I come in?" As if you'd lost the ability to speak, you just nodded without saying anything. When he entered, he smiled at you impishly while hiding something behind his back. Curious, you watched him enter the room.
"I came back to check on you." Dr. Ackles came to your bed. "I stole some pudding from the cafeteria" said the blond with a cheeky grin, triumphantly holding up a glass of pudding. He winked at you and the gesture caused butterflies in your stomach. "And, um, well..." He suddenly seemed embarrassed and scratched his neck nervously. Then suddenly he reached out to you with a book. You were surprised to receive it. "What is that?" you asked. "Storm of Roses" was written on the cover. "I brought you a book from my office. Against boredom." Your fingers were running over the worn pages. You opened it at a dog's ear, and your eyes went over the lines. "It's obviously some cheesy romance novel." He said. You looked at him with a smile. He immediately blushed and cleared his throat. "Uh-uh, not that I would read something like that. A patient left this in the waiting room. I'm just keeping it for her," he stuttered. You raised your hands defensively and bit your cheek to suppress a giggle. "Of course." you replied seriously, flipping through the pages. "But it's quite good - at least that's what I've heard." He bit his lip and took a deep breath. To spare him any more humiliation, you stepped in. "Thank you, Dr Ackles." You gave him an honest smile as you pressed the book against your chest and looked at his rose-tinted cheeks. He avoided your gaze. So, Dr. Ackles was a hopeless romantic. Interesting.
You spent the rest of the evening reading the book and eating your pudding at the same time. Eventually, you got so tired from the medication, you could barely keep your eyes open. It was only ten o'clock, but soon you fell asleep with Dr. Ackles' book on your stomach. Two hours later Jensen stuck his head back in the room. He was on emergency duty that day and had to take over the night shift on call. With a slight smile on his face, he realized that you were already asleep. Silently he stepped into the room and leaned the door behind him. Then he went to your bed, gently took the book from your hand and put it on the bedside table. Then he tucked you in and finally turned off the light next to your bed. On tiptoe he sneaked out of the room again and quietly pulled the door into the lock.
The next morning, after breakfast, you waited in the waiting room with a cup of coffee and Dr. Ackles' book. It was still early, but there was already a hustle and bustle in the hospital and you watched the people. Then the door to Dr. Ackles' consulting room opened. A little boy came out of the room with a lollipop. "Thank you, Dr Ackles," the boy beamed at him. Ackles smiled at him. "You're welcome, buddy. And wear a helmet next time, yeah?" "I will." said the boy, and the blond leaned into the door with folded arms, watching the little boy run excitedly to his mother. Then his eyes fell on you. He waved at you with a smile and you melted away. He was just too sweet.
Amber pulled you out of your crush. "Ms. L/N. It's your turn now." Like last time, you followed her into the consulting room. But you were disappointed to realise that Dr Ackles was not there. "The doctor said you need to be vaccinated against tetanus, is that correct?" You nodded and watched in panic as she prepared the injection and disinfected a spot on your arm. Just as she was about to prepare the syringe, you flinched. She stopped in surprise. "Is something wrong, miss?" Embarrassed, you dodged her questioning glance. "I'm afraid of needles. I wonder if Dr. Ackles could take over. It's not that I don't trust you, but..." Amber nodded sympathetically. "Wait a minute. Let me see what I can do." She disappeared, and a short time later Dr. Ackles entered the room. You were relieved to see him.
"Hey there. How are you today?" he asked in his calm and deep voice. "Fine, thank you. I'm just a little scared about the injections and I was hoping, well, you could help me -" You fell silent when he disinfected the spot again and refilled the syringe. "Well, we're going to count backwards from 1,029 in 13 steps, yeah?" he said. Confused, you looked at him and stared anxiously at the syringe approaching your arm. "Look ahead, Y/N. I can't hear you count." You looked ahead and began to count shakily. "1,016" you muttered and jerked as the syringe pierced your skin. "What's next?" Jensen asked and distracted you. You continued to count and were soon so concentrated that you didn't even notice the syringe. Only when he dabbed the blood off your skin did you look up surprised. The young doctor smiled at you. "You did great, Y/N." You noticed that it was the second time he used your first name. Then he put the Band-Aid on you. "You see? You get a special unicorn patch. It's only for the really brave girls." He winked at you. You blushed and a smile crept up your lips. "Thanks, Jensen." You just used his first name too. His fingers gently stroked your skin as he pressed the patch on. "Would you like to have a lollipop like Tommy?" he asked afterwards. Tommy must have been the little boy from before.
Laughing, you shook your head. "I don't think that's necessary. It hardly hurts anymore." His green eyes sparkled in amusement. Then he took a step back and cleared his throat. "Well, that's it. You have officially recovered. Don't let me see you back here again so soon. Take care of yourself for a while, okay?" Your heart got heavy when you realized it was time to go. You grabbed his hand and shook it. He was called into the next room. He touched you for a moment as he went past you and then he was gone.
At home, you dropped your bag on the floor and closed the door. You threw your jacket on the sofa when suddenly something fell out of your pocket. You bent down in surprise. It was a red lollipop and a note was wrapped around it. Curious, you rolled it up and read it.

or
Jealous! Amy and brand new relationship-Peraltiago
Also: Do I need to make a statement saying that Amy obviously isn't the kind of person to think she owns anyone, but means it well and in an endearing way? There you go.
Enjoy!
Read here or on AO3
It had all gone down in a spur of the moment-kind of moment that no one, even less Amy, had seen coming and honestly would’ve preferred to be without. It wasn’t really her place to say or do what she did, nor even as much as react upon it, alas… she did; she was in so deep with Jake Peralta and so she did it anyways.
Said moment had gone down during a weekend spent in Hartford, Connecticut, where the squad had attended a two day-seminar hosted by their brothers and sisters in the HPD.
Since the drive to Hartford was one of two hours, plus the seminar took place Saturday through Sunday, the squad had huddled together in two cars and were spending the entire weekend, Friday through Sunday, north of their respective homes in Brooklyn.
Immediately from the moment they arrived at the the hotel slash conference venue where the seminar was to be held everything seemed to set the scene for a pretty smooth, perhaps even fun, weekend where the squad would get to be entertained by other things that the wondering of why they weren’t at home on a weekend.
No one on the squad had any kind of expectations for the unknown city, except Holt who mentioned The Mark Twain House and Museum as a highly ranked point on his to be done-list, which meant their collective surprise upon exploring the city after checking into their rooms Friday afternoon was indeed positive enough for them to not hate the fact they were spending their weekend away from home doing work-related activities.
The very second the clock obnoxiously signalled 7 AM the following day, because not being home wasn’t an excuse, Amy Santiago was up and out of bed leaving Jake to regret, just for a tiny second, that he shared a room with his brand new paramour. It’d only been two weeks since coming to terms about “screw light and breezy”, and so far everything was smooth sailing although that morning was clearly an example of the two still figuring out this new dynamic of theirs.
“Ugh, can you stop being a decent person and get back in bed,” Jake groaned in pain when Amy without hesitance pulled aside the curtain to let in the bleak east coast-sun. If they’d been away on vacation in Mexico, even just as far as California, then maybe Jake would’ve accepted this. But there sure as hell was nothing less motivating than a sad barely there-sun hiding behind puffy clouds but still shining brightly enough to rip him out of his comfortable sleep. Especially when all there was to “look forward to”, quote Amy, was seminars; learning and powerpoint presentations that would haunt him in his next sleep.
“Stop whining and get up! The seminar starts at 8!” Amy hurried carelessly at him used to his many complaints of this childish nature. She didn’t let it take up too much of her time and had already moved on to grab clean clothes from her duffle bag to put on after her routine shower.
From where he had indeed not moved an inch Jake could hear the shower being turned on, door to the bathroom still open, and if it wasn’t for the fact that he was exhausted from staying up just a bit too late watching stupid videos on his phone then he would’ve attempted to sneak into the steaming water with Amy because he could do that now… Insane.
On the other side of the shower curtain Amy had expected the same. There was very good reason why she’d added the little detail of leaving the door open and hoped would lure him out of bed. To her disappointment she quickly noticed her so-called sneaky plan was in vain leaving but one last attempt up her sleeve.
“Jake, the breakfast buffet closes at 7.30!” she called out momentarily turning off the shower to allow her to pick up on potential sounds which could indicate her victory.
Indeed the last attempt was the right one: seconds later she heard the sound of quick footsteps and the ruffling of what she guessed was clothing items before a messy-haired, baggy-eyed Jake stumbled into the bathroom stark naked and on the edge of out of breath. The way to a man’s heart really was through his stomach, Amy though to herself amused.
“Mind if I join in real quick?” he smiled sheepishly trying his best to hide exhaustion.
All complaints and opposing to her morning ritual went down the drain with shower water the moment Amy turned it back on and smiled through biting down on her bottom lip.
Santiago: 1 - Peralta: 0
—
Perhaps Amy had twisted the truth just a tiny bit to get him out of bed so early. Jake figured this out when they 20 minutes later walked downstairs and saw a sign announcing that the first part of the seminar wasn’t scheduled for 8, like Amy had said, but rather 9 and buffet as well only closed an hour later than Amy’s information had told him. Lucky for her he was so infatuated that he let her off the hook with a playful jab to her sides and a comment about how she probably didn’t even want to date him but was simply a double-agent sent to improve his habits and lifestyle. This in return earned him a very familiar by now laugh, roll of this eyes and smile-combo: a combo he’d never get tired of and already felt like getting an eternal subscription to.
The seminar was okay, he guessed; either that or watching Amy furiously yet impressively neatly take notes with the speed of light beside him was enough to make it feel so. He was convinced of the latter when she afterwards with the brightest smile on her face showed him all the knowledge she’d managed to boil down to a few neatly organised pages in her notebook. It felt dangerous so early on in whatever they would turn out to be, yet also so very natural that in his world nothing was greater than the sight of Amy Santiago smiling at him. A sight he’d quickly grown addicted to already years back although without coming to terms with it until some months prior.
“Are you sticking around for the Q & A?” Amy interrupted his wandering thoughts whilst getting a new page in her notebook ready as a few people started leaving their seats and the conference room.
“Nah,” Jake shook his head honestly knowing that it would be lying to both himself and her if he tried to act like he genuinely cared about sticking around for an additional 30 minutes of re-explaining what he’d already spent 2 hours zoning in and out of. “I think I’ll head to the lounge. I’m feeling snacky.”
“Of course,” Amy smiled shaking her head in an evident manner. “See you at lunch then?”
“Yup,” he got out of his seat before adding a “see you at lunch, nerd,” accompanied by one last teasing smile before joining Rosa on her walk towards the exit. The comment combined with his soft brown eyes and warm smile was enough to have Amy feeling like a puddle of mush in her seat. To know that said brown eyes and warm smile were… hers? It felt weird to say or even just think it since they hadn’t officially declared themselves boyfriend/girlfriend but definitely were something; something not light and breezy; perhaps solid was the appropriate antithesis to use?
No matter what - light, breezy, solid or whatever they could be defined as - when her eyes trained after Jake walking off for just tiny bit longer than intended, Amy definitely noticed how a group of four women, colleagues, she assumed, sitting on the other side of the middle isle between her and them where Jake was walking chatted and giggled as their eyes switched back and forth between each other and Amy’s favorite partner. In spite of the fact that she was en excellent lipreader Amy, to her curiosity’s dismay, couldn’t exactly tell what these women were saying or giggling about however two things were certain: one was that they were in one way or another very interested in Jake, even after he’d left the room, and two was that Amy didn’t like it. An uneasy tightness formed in her stomach telling her so and she for the following 30 minutes of a Q & A she had looked forward to couldn’t focus enough to take any actual notes. All she was left with post Q & A were mindless doodles on an otherwise blank page which was both a waste of paper and but even worse of no good use for her knowledge.
The second the seminar was officially completely over which was everyone’s cue to leave for lunch, Amy did her best, notebook and pencil case held tightly to her chest, in an attempt to get as close to the giggly group of women from before as the room’s population walked out of the room in one big stream. Completely forgetting that she was supposed to meet up with the Jake and the others for lunch she automatically followed the four women to the hotel bar where they settled down - and so of course so did Amy simply opting for a few seats further down in conjunction with ordering herself a soda as to not attract herself any suspicion or attention.
“Oh my gosh, Sydney, you have to figure out who that guy from the seminar was!”
This definitely caught Amy’s attention, both to her pleasing and bitterness: pleasing because she’d been right about her gut-feeling and bitterness because that guy was her guy. Not whoever this Sydney was.
“Yeah, he was pretty cute right?” Who Amy guessed was Sydney, a tall, beautiful blonde clad in a nice pantsuit, Amy had to admit, answered just as enthusiastically.
“Totally! And since he’s here, probably, also a cop,” the same friend who had started the conversation chimed in and Amy wished to God she’d just shut up rather than stuff her friend’s head with bad ideas like hitting on Amy’s own guy.
“I smell work place-romance, ladies,” a third friend giggled riling the other’s up along with her. To them it was all a joke, fun, some kind of competition of cat and mouse but Amy, at her respective end of the bar, was feeling herself starting to boil, more than she’d like to admit, at the thought of someone else taking away from her what she’d just struggled for so long to obtain. It was her cute cop-guy from the seminar; her work-place romance; her… whatever! And also what kind of dumb name was Sydney even? Jake and Sydney? So dumb.
“I mean we are here for another entire day so I’ll have to make sure to run into him at some point. Tonight…” the tone of Sydney’s voice took on a sultry undertone that had Amy shuffling uncomfortably in her seat. “… wouldn’t be a bad time to run into him.” The smug smile on the blonde’s face had Amy feeling like punching it right off of her.
As if on cue, like timing couldn’t have been any worse, friend number four made her presence be known and squealed with excitement while pointing which of course immediately earned herself the three other’s full attention. “Girls! There he comes! Right there!”
Within seconds all four girls heads snapped to the side with wide hungry eyes reminding Amy of what a flock of vultures looked like prior to ripping apart an animal cadaver in a documentary she’d watched a few days ago.
Vulture-like or not, Amy’s head was included in this collective redirecting of focus and followed the direction in which the friend had pointed to.
And there he was indeed: Jake Peralta, clad in his navy blue long-sleeved NYPD-shirt and freshly cut hair with the tiniest hint at a beginning forehead curl, was walking into the lounge that very moment seemingly looking around for someone and also completely unaware of the people watching him as his entrance seems to unfold in slow-motion. Amy almost couldn’t blame the girls for drooling because the cocky detective looked really good walking into the room completely oblivious to the attention he’d brought upon himself.
“Damn… He looks even cuter than what I remembered. I have to give it a try, don’t I?” Sydney questioned, obviously rhetorically already knowing what she wanted as she almost drooled like an agitated Doberman.
“I mean if you won’t, Sydney, then I will!” the friend who’d noticed Jake enter the room playfully challenged, and even though it was all fun and games to them, Amy felt like her seat was on fire making it almost impossible to stay passive and seated for much longer.
“Oh, hell no. Stay away from him. This one’s mine, Jasmin!”
There was no telling if the line had already been crossed multiple inappropriate remarks ago and she’d managed by the grace of God to stay seated or if this last comment was the one to exceed what Amy considered her very flexible limits. Either way, no matter what, the first one option or the other, this time Amy failed to bite her tongue. She threw a comment out into the open without thoroughly considering its consequences out in the open fora first thus letting the group, especially Sydney, know what was weighing on her mind.
“You've got a lot of nerve to call a complete stranger ‘yours’,” the borderline growl of a tone in which the words came out in had Amy feeling like another person: not one she specially liked. This person, or perhaps even primitive beast was a better way of describing this persona, rooted deep down in her apparently found it very necessary to protect what she already within two weeks had come to mark as her territory. Never before had she felt so green-eyed, so absolutely reckless. This being said her instincts were more vigilant than ever before and it virtually felt out of her hands.
In the meantime, while Amy was looking at her decision in retrospect yet not at all since she wasn’t doing anything to prevent any further complications, the women had turned in their seats to collectively shoot quizzical, annoyed looks resembling daggers with their eyes at Amy.
“Excuse me?” The blue-eyed blonde challenged Amy to take her statement back which roughly said only goaded her raven-haired opponent further down the warpath.
“I said: You've got a lot of nerve to call a complete stranger ‘yours’.”
Feeling herself so ice-cold, so sure about something partially dumb and actually really petty would normally have Amy back down right away but something deep inside of her, like a raging fire, had her stand her ground. Apparently that’s what Jake Peralta could bring out in certain people, both Amy and Sydney included, because the blonde was not backing down just, rather instead coolly took another shot at Amy in the hopes to have her back off.
“Why shouldn't I? It’s not like he’s everyone, right? I’m for sure not letting any of these girls run off with him,” she pointed to the her friends behind her, the switch from threatening Amy to mindlessly joking and giggling with her little girl-squad having Amy metaphorically slack-jawed. Luckily not physically: there was no way she was showing this bimbo any sign of weakness.
“Okay, well…” Amy had had it for good and all consideration of rationality was out the window. Crowded police seminar or not there was no way in hell this light haired pest with her greedy crystal blue eyes and three flippant followers were getting the last word.“…let me explain to you why how you shouldn't assume and make people your property. Especially when you don’t even know them.”
Yes, she was being a hypocrite saying this but she was actually Jake’s special someone and not just some stranger: she did have a say in this.
For a brief second Sydney seemed shocked and like she actually considered Amy’s bold statement, but it didn’t last and before long blondie was back in the game apparently not satisfied with the way things could be left off. They way things should be left off, if you asked Amy.
“Oh, so you’re his “girlfriend” or what?,” the tone of Sydney’s voice clearly implied she didn’t believe anything Amy said.
All the, not doubt per se since she knew she wanted to be with Jake and he with her, but perhaps the insecurities about what stage they were currently at melted and slipped away as water off a duck’s back. It didn’t matter what exactly they were when one thing, the most important fact, was sure: they liked each other and they were going… steady. They were each other’s, politically correct to say or not.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I am,” Amy’s voice and eyes drilled into Sydney’s with a kind of confidence she’d never felt before, perhaps something Jake had brought into her life along with himself.
In return it earned her a mocking scoff.
“Easy for you to say. He might as well be a random guy you’ve spotted in the crowd,” one of Sydney’s friends stepped in to help her friend in what Amy knew was a lost cause on their part.
“He could be a stranger,” Amy paused very briefly biting her lip as to refocus, hopefully managing to not say anything that could potentially make the pointless, stupid conversation even worse. This but also she still did want to make very clear that the random, cute cop walking into the lounge (who even knew where exactly he was at this point?) was hers.
“But he’s not: he’s my boyfriend.”
It was as Amy allowed herself a small halt to provide her lungs with fresh air, just in case Sydney felt like dragging out the discussion, when cute cop-guy very suddenly made his exact position known. He was walking straight up to the bar and them displaying smiley lips and eyes plastered on Amy. All the women’s eyes - Amy, Sydney and friends - immediately forgot about their opponent to focus on newly reappeared target who obviously had no clue about the fact that he was walking into the belly of the beast when he made it to his destination next to Amy.
“Hey, Ames.”
He nonchalantly stretched out his right arm to place a hand on the bar behind her crating a point of support for him to lean his weight onto.
“You catching up with some old friends?”
Oh, sweet naive Jake, Amy thought but also lowkey melted as he very credulously sent Sydney and her friend’s a warm, welcoming smile wanting to make a good impression on who he believed were part of Amy’s social circle.
“Eh,” Amy smiled culpably knowing telling Jake the truth about the situation would be the epitome of an embarrassment so early on in this new relationship of theirs. “I was just making small-talk, I guess. You know… meeting new people - yay.”
She couldn’t have sounded any less awkward and enthusiastic, even if she tried. Jake, on his part, was either really openminded or had figured out there was a good reason as to why she acted like she did and didn’t want to dig deeper into it, settling for an understanding nod.
“Well, anyhow… I don’t mean to interrupt anything but you never showed up for lunch and so I just popped in to try and find you.”
Even head turned to look at Jake who was slightly behind her meaning she could only see Sydney out of the corner of her eye, Amy could tell her smug, confident look from before was faltering with every exchange of words between Jake and Amy though they were far from flirty or telling about their relationship in any way. And, yes, she could’ve left it at that, as undramatic at it had all managed to turn out but Amy, well aware of how petty it was, she knew, couldn’t help but want to conclusively knock in the nail of victory.
“Aw,” Amy spun a quarter of a round on her barstool to face Jake behind her before affectionally placing a hand on his chest - both for the sake of the show but also because, wow, she could actually do that as she pleased now. Something she was still getting used to.
“That’s very sweet of you, babe,” the word in focus was always said in an affectionate tone but this specific context definitely had it over-enhanced and laced with extra sweetness to make her message very clear.
Then breaking her own no making out at work-rule, the only rule to have survived “screw light and breezy”, she couldn’t help herself and gave into the enraged possessiveness inside of her. She leaned in to place a soft, just a bit longer than a peck, kiss to Jake who automatically lightly bent his neck to eliminate the remaining space between their current height difference. The kiss was good, they always were with him, but it definitely had to send a signal that hopefully Sydney would pick up on: do not touch.
Amy, not wanting to break her own rule too much and give in to straight up inappropriate PDA, then pulled back to throw the women-squad a smirk over her shoulder as her hand never left the safety of Jake’s blue shirt.
“Anyways… I think we’re done here? Right, girls?”
To her immense pleasure Amy was met by a mixture of bitterness and surprise which had to mean she’d proven her point. Finally. Jake Peralta, officially boyfriend or not, was not to be considered anyone but hers - apart from being very much his own person as well.
In the meantime, slightly shocked but also far from displeased by Amy’s very out of blue-kiss, Jake stood passive by waiting for his partner’s upcoming directions. He didn’t have to wait for long because whoever these other women were, Amy was done with them and hopped off of her stool promptly grabbing his hand to walk away with. It took him a few feet of walking in silence before Jake could fully assemble and give meaning to everything that had just happened. He turned to question a still smug, also a bit guilty-looking, Amy.
“Okay, so are you going to tell me what all that was about?”
They kept walking out of the lounge and down one of the many halls of the hotel.
“Nothing.”
Jake was perhaps naive at times as he saw a lot of good in everything, which Amy loved, but he knew a guilty lip bite when he saw it and it was currently on full display on the raven haired beauty.
“Hey,” he pulled her aside into one of the many small wall pockets leading to individual hotel rooms as he wished to seclude them in hopes of it easing her into telling him the truth. “What’s up with you?” he smiled knowingly taking some intensity out of the moment. It’s not like he was angry or anything, curious being a better word for it.
“Nothing,” she smiled sheepishly trying to hurry out of the secluded area but quickly realising she’d failed once she felt his hand wrap around her upper arm to gently pull her back in. Her back gently fell back against the wall before him forcing her to face him.
He lightly tilted his head to the side much like a puppy would when feeling peculiar which was hard to resist when his eyes, soft and brown, had so much resemblance with a sweet puppy’s as well. She could tell he was teasing her, aware of the fact that he knew something she didn’t and it drew her insane in both the worst and best way - Jake Peralta summed up for you.
“Now I don’t believe that… girlfriend.”
In contrast to the playfulness controlling her body seconds ago Amy Santiago suddenly felt much more put on the spot, it clearly showing by the way her blood all at once seemed to fire up her cheeks. He’d overheard her talking to Sydney and the others; he’d heard her declare herself as his girlfriend when they hadn’t even agreed on calling each other that yet. The nervousness tricked her into making a loud swallow; yet another tell.
“Oh… y-you heard that?” She stuttered.
Jake nodded firmly almost encapsulating her against the wall when he took a step forwards, but made sure to leave just enough space for her to not feel straight up trapped against her will. A small smug smile on display. Why was he enjoying this? Didn’t he see that he was torturing her?
“I’m sorry - I really didn’t mean to. I know we’ve just barely begun seeing each other as more than friends, it’s just these girls were saying things about you and sometimes I just can't control myself when around you and then it just kind of-“
He cut off her rambling by pressing his lips to hers, much needed, gently pressing her up against the wall although. Only because they were hidden from the majority of the hotel’s population, Amy allowed and excused this - or so she told herself. The feeling of his welcoming lips made her forget the mess for a few seconds, just giving into how good of a kisser Jake Peralta was, and even for a few seconds after their lips parted again she was speechless and dumbfounded by how she’d gotten herself a guy this great.
“Stop apologising,” he chuckled quickly using his thumb to wipe the corner of his mouth which inevitably made him look that much hotter.
“I know we didn’t exactly “agree on it” and that it’s still all very new, like you said, but, Ames…” his eyes mellowed after looking just a tad too cocky and alluring before, during and right after the kiss. This was definitely a different shade of Jake looking into her eyes and talking: a very soft one. “… I don’t need a certain trial period or approval from anyone to know that I’m your boyfriend and you’re my girlfriend.”
Upon hearing these words coming from the one and only Jake Peralta with recipient being herself, Amy Santiago she felt her heart shoot through the roof, take a trip around the moon and fly straight back into her chest where it had her feeling like crying, smiling, screaming and laughing all at once: a very maniac-like but also wonderful feeling. The most wonderful as far as she could recall.
“And I’m not going to force you to tell me exactly what happened, but just based on the way your fists were basically clenched when I walked up to you, am I wrong to assume that they were, let’s say, treading on your territory…”
If she’d been blushing before then now her face was definitely on fire and looking down at her feet apparently didn’t help cover it at all. The silence was enough of an answer, one which he chuckled in reaction to.
“It’s okay, Ames. At least I came around before you could Jimmy Brogan them.”
At this sympathetic joke reminding her of a time that seemed to be so long ago she had to look back up. She couldn’t hold back a chuckle and it warmed her heart to share it with him just like when he shared his with her. All the previous insecurities: had she gone too far? Let her tongue run away with her? Given too much of herself too fast to something as brand new as her relationship with Jake? It had all been answered by a few simple words, caring eyes and a kiss that told her everything she needed to know.
“I just don’t want you to think I’m this crazy-jealous, possessive type. I’m normally not like this, I promise. I guess I have never felt this way about anyone before and maybe that’s why I’m acting up. Amy I crazy?” a tingling feeling of vulnerability made an encore.
“No, you’re not because I’m right here freaking out, in the best kind of way, because of what you just said. This is the first time I feel like this too, like I can’t stop thinking about you, and it’s scary and great all at once.” Jake was quick to wash away said vulnerability she was feeling and replaced it with a prickling affection and hope.
“So… no more feeling insecure about us?” he offered some kind of peace-offering, partly to her but mostly to their shared insecurities, trying to not come off as too gluttonous as he slid his hands onto her waist wanting to soak in a new feeling of belonging. A feeling he’d found in her.
“Deal,” Amy accepted the offering with a sheepish smile as her insides flipped upside down witch excitement. All she wanted was to be with this guy, fully and greatly, and this confrontation and mutual agreement would allow her to not give a damn about future external factors.
“Noice. Smart,” escaped him in optimistic relief but before she could roll her eyes at it he leaned in to softly kiss her again. Being held by him, hands gently tracing the front pockets of her pants while his lips took her to another world, was something she could never deny him or herself - screw the rules. Lips collided over and over again, one tug bringing on the next until they lost sense of anything and were full on making out like a pair of horny high schoolers in-between classes. This is what they brought out in each other: happiness, fire, want and so many more things they’d both spent the last two weeks wondering how they’d lived without before.
Unfortunately their movie-like moment had to be cut somewhat short as people coming back from lunch started flooding the hall passing by their little intimate pocket in the wall. Amy liked Jake but she also liked staying professional and this Jake respected. They jumped back, creating an exaggerated amount of space between them before sending passing strangers innocent smiles as if they hadn’t just spent the last few minutes declaring feelings and making out at an interstate police seminar.
“So, Detective Santiago…” his voice took on a brand new tone of gravity - a tone she also recognised as acting. “Shall we head over for lunch?”
“I’m sorry to come bearing such bad news, Detective Peralta, but people are flooding the hall as per consequence of the fact that lunch is over,” Amy played along taking on a serious tone and posture.
“Aw, man… Seriously?” he whined childishly, his recent serious persona from seconds before immediately forgotten.
“Sorry… boyfriend,” she smiled sheepishly in an attempt to cheer him up which she had to praise herself, as it obviously worked seeing his face instantly lit up.
“Whatever… It was worth losing lunch over, girlfriend.”

Chapter 5 | Chapter 6 | Chapter 7
After the long day, we were all exhausted, and it was late. I gathered my things to hurry and try to catch a bus back to my dorm, but when I made it to the bus stop, I found that I already missed the last bus for the night. Sejin oppa had gone home and there was no way I would bother him to come pick me up.
Realizing I didn’t have any other choice, I made my way to the boys’ dorm. I pulled out my phone to call Namjoon to ask him if I could crash there for the night. I figured there would be no objections, but it was still polite to ask.
When l knocked on the door Hoseok answered, wearing nothing but his boxers. His eyes widened as soon as he saw me. I looked away, my cheeks flushed red.
“Noona!” he exclaimed, embarrassed. “What are you doing here?”
“Did Namjoon not tell you guys I was coming?” I replied, stepping into the house while avoiding looking at the topless boy.
“I didn’t hear anything. I’m sorry, noona. I’ll go put a shirt on,” he said, hurrying to the bedroom.
“(Y/n) Noona’s here?!” I heard Taehyung yell from the bedroom. Before I knew it, an excited 16-year-old was running towards me and hugged me tight.
I laughed. “I literally saw you guys like half an hour ago.”
“I know,” Tae said, loosening his grip around me. “I’m just happy to see you.” He flashed a boxy smile.
I returned his smile, then noticed Namjoon sitting in the living room. “Namjoon, why didn’t you tell them I was coming?”
He looked up from his phone. “Oh, sorry. I mean of course it’s not a problem for any of us that you’re here. You’re always welcome,” he smiled, showing off his dimples.
“Yeah, I know. But that’s not the problem,” I replied. “Hoseok answered the door in his underwear.”
“Oh, I didn’t think about that. I’ll be sure to let them know next time.” Namjoon turned back to his phone.
“What brings you here, (Y/n)?” Seokjin entered the room.
“I missed the last bus, so I can’t get back to my dorm. I’m going to have to crash here tonight,” I explained.
“Oh, okay.” Seokjin started walking toward their bedroom. “Let me get you a pillow and some blankets.”
“Thank you,” I smiled.
Jimin exited their bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. As soon as I saw, I immediately turned around, but not before I accidentally caught a glimpse of the six-pack he sported.
“Noona! What are you doing here?” Jimin echoed the same thing Hoseok said when he saw me.
“Well, now I’ve seen two of you topless. This is truly an interesting day,” I mumbled to myself, embarrassed once again.
“Oh, she’s staying the night Jimin-ah,” Namjoon explained. “She missed the last bus.”
“Oh okay. I’ll go get dressed…” I could hear how embarrassed Jimin was in his voice.
I sat down next to Namjoon as Seokjin re-entered the room with the promised blankets and pillow.
“Thanks, Jin,” I smiled.
“No problem,” he winked at me.
I blew him a kiss in return, and we laughed.
Taehyung silently watched the exchange and looked back and forth between us. “Are you two dating?”
I choked on air. “WHAT?” I yelled a lot louder than I intended.
Jin laughed. “No, we’re not, Taehyung. We just joke around like that.”
“Oh, okay,” the younger brother said. “I was just thinking you two would be cute together.”
“No offense to Seokjin, but I’m way out of his league,” I said.
“Oh yeah, totally. I wouldn’t stand a chance,” the mentioned boy replied.
I looked around the room and saw Jungkook timidly standing at the doorway to their bedroom. When our eyes met, he turned away and tried to act like he was busy with something.
I walked over to him before gently guiding him into the living room with me with me. I guided him to sit down and sat next to him, my hand on his shoulder. “What’s wrong, Jungkook?”
He had trouble making eye contact with me, and after a few failed attempts he decided to focus on his hands instead. He shook his head, as if to say nothing was wrong.
“I think he still feels really bad,” Yoongi said, entering the room.
I frowned at the explanation and turned back to Jungkook, noticing he looked like he was about to cry. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled his head toward my shoulder. “It’s okay, Jungkook. We’ve already talked about it and there’s nothing more to worry about.”
“But we almost pushed you away from us, when that was what we were scared of in the first place,” he said as I felt a tear fall onto my shoulder.
“It’s all passed now, Kookie. There’s no need to worry. I’m not going anywhere.” I pulled his head off my shoulder and made him meet my gaze. “You guys are stuck with me. I promise.”
Jungkook hugged me tight, letting a few more tears loose before releasing his grip and pulling away. “Sorry, noona.”
“It’s okay, no need to be sorry.” I smiled at him, stroking his soft hair to comfort him.
By this point everyone had gathered in the living room (fully clothed as well, so that was a bonus). It seemed like the other members were watching Jungkook to make sure he was okay. Once they seemed to be well-enough satisfied that he was, they started chatting amongst themselves as usual. Except for Yoongi who left the room silently.
“Oh, yeah!” I said, something suddenly having occurred to me. Everyone turned towards me. “Well first, I hope you guys don’t mind if I use your shower.”
“Yeah, of course, (Y/n),” Jin answered me.
“Thank you. And um… I just realized, since this wasn’t planned or anything, I don’t have any clothes to sleep in.”
Just as I finished my sentence, I felt something being placed on my lap. Yoongi had returned to the room with a t-shirt and sweatpants for me to wear. I blinked a few times, surprised at his impeccable timing, before thanking him and dismissing myself to the bathroom to wash up. Afterwards, I changed into the comfier clothes. They were really soft, and surprisingly a little loose on me. I smiled at how sweet Yoongi was. He usually pretends to be tough, but he really was kind and caring in his own way – something he’s shown me more than once today.
I walked back into the living room, trying to hold back a yawn but failing. Only a few of the boys remained in the living room, most having retired to bed already.
“You’re pretty tired, huh noona?” Jimin asked.
“Yeah, it’s been a long day,” I responded.
“It really has…” Taehyung responded with a bit of a frown.
I realized that my words could have been taken as talking about the events after dinner. “Oh no, I don’t mean… I’m not trying to say it’s because of anything in particular!”
“No worries, noona,” Taehyung offered me a smile. “It really was just a long day all day,” he said while stretching.
“Yeah, we should all get to sleep,” Seokjin chimed in. “We need to be up early tomorrow.”
I thought for a second. “I thought you guys didn’t have any lessons until afternoon tomorrow?”
“Oh, well we do have something to do in the morning though,” Jimin elaborated.
“Oh, okay then,” I replied. “I’ll try not to be in your guys’ way then.”
We all said good night to each other as I got comfortable in my makeshift bed someone had already set up for me and the boys went to their room for the night.
When I woke up the next morning, I was a bit confused about my surroundings before remembering I had to sleep at the boys’ dorm last night. I looked over and saw Seokjin sitting across from me, staring at his phone. I sat up, and my stirring made him glance up at me.
“Good morning, (Y/n),” he smiled.
“Good morning, Jin,” I said groggily. “Is everyone still asleep?”
“Some are, and some are getting ready,” he replied. “Did you want to go back to your dorm to get some clean clothes? I’ll go with you.”
“I do, but are you sure? That’s not necessary. I can just meet you guys back at the company later.”
“No, it’s fine. I have some time to spare so I want to take you.”
I smiled. “Okay then. Let me go get ready and we’ll head out.”
Of course he had made breakfast, so I ate some real quick before heading out the door. Seokjin took the bus with me while I went to my dorm to change into some fresh clothes for the day. When I finished and came back downstairs, he was still waiting for me.
“You don’t have anything to do at the company until this afternoon too, right?” he asked, walking along side me.
“Yeah.” I secured my backpack on my shoulder. “I figured I’d leave early to study there instead of staying in my room. It feels stuffy after a while.”
“Good,” Jin grinned beside me.
We got to the bus stop. When a bus different from the one we’re supposed to take back to the company stopped, Jin grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the vehicle.
“Jin, this isn’t the right bus,” I protested as he paid for both of our fares.
“Yes, it is.” He sat me down in an empty seat, sitting next to me.
“What are you talking about?”
He didn’t say anything, he just smiled at me, almost mischievously. He definitely had something up his sleeve, but I had no idea what it was.
“Are you not going to tell me where we’re going?” I crossed my arms over my chest.
He leaned in toward my ear and I felt his hot breath tickle my skin as he whispered, “It’s a secret.”
I found myself a bit flushed at how close he was at that moment, but it didn’t last long since he quickly pulled away.
I decided not to press any further and sat quietly while I waited for my friend’s cue that we were coming to our stop. I looked out the window but didn’t recognize any of the scenery that was passing by. I hadn’t gotten a chance to explore a lot of the city yet, so I wasn’t surprised. But it made me curious of where we were going.
It wasn’t too long before Seokjin grabbed my hand and led me out the door of the bus. I took in our surroundings before asking him, “Where are we?”
He turned to look at me, a big smile on his face. “You’ll see.” Whatever it was he had planned, he seemed super excited.
After walking for a little bit, he pushed me in front of him and covered my eyes with his hands.
“What are you doing?” I asked, somewhat panicked.
He chuckled. “Don’t worry, (Y/n). I’m not kidnapping you or anything.” He paused. “Just trust me,” he whispered right next to my ear again, sending a shiver down my spine.
As he led me down the sidewalk, I heard quite a bit of shuffling behind us. I figured it was just other people walking by, so I shrugged it off.
When we stopped at what I assumed was our destination, Seokjin asked “Ready, (Y/n)?”
“I mean, I don’t even know what’s going on so I’m as ready as I could be,” I laughed.
“Alright. I’m letting go in 3… 2… 1…” He lifted his hands from my eyes.
It took my eyes a few seconds to readjust to the light, but when they did a huge smile found its way to my face. In front of me was a beautiful park full of trees, flowers, and all kinds of life. It had been a long time since I had seen so much nature.
I ran ahead a little bit, taking in the beauty that surrounded me. When I turned back to look at Seokjin, I saw 6 more people watching me. All the members of the group were here.
I walked back to them in shock. “What is going on?” I managed to breathe out.
“We wanted to surprise you, noona,” Jimin said flashing his sweet smile.
“We still felt so bad about yesterday, so we wanted to do something nice for you.” Namjoon elaborated.
I almost felt like crying at the thoughtful gesture. “You guys… That’s so sweet.” I ran to them to hug the ones closest to me, who happened to be Hoseok and Jungkook. I wrapped one arm around each of them and they embraced me in return. “You really didn’t need to do this for me, you guys.”
“Of course we did!” Hoseok responded. “You deserve it.”
After (Y/n) had gone to the bathroom, the group of boys gathered in the living room started talking in hushed voices.
“I honestly do still feel really bad for what happened,” Hoseok said.
“Yeah, I think we all do,” Namjoon added, noticing the expressions of everyone around him. “Even though she said she’s fine and she forgives us, I feel like we should do something to try to make it up to her. You know, show her we really do care.”
“That would be really nice.” Jungkook sounded excited.
“But what can we do for her?” Yoongi questioned.
The boys sat in contemplation for a moment.
“Oh!” Seokjin cut the silence. “There’s this really nice park I know of. We could take her there.”
“A park?” Jimin inquired. “But why?”
“(Y/n) really likes nature and told me she’s missed being around it more. She said it feels a bit stuffy being in such a concentrated city all the time.”
Taehyung nodded. “I can’t say I don’t understand how she feels.”
“That sounds like something she’d really appreciate,” Hoseok said thoughtfully. “I say we do it! But when?”
“Do any of us have lessons tomorrow morning?” Jimin asked.
“I don’t think so,” Namjoon said as the rest of the boys made gestures of confirmation.
“I don’t think (Y/n) needs to be there early either,” Seokjin added. “I can offer to take her back to her dorm in the morning so she can get some clean clothes, then drag her onto the bus to the park. And the rest of you can meet us there.”
“Sounds like a plan!” Jimin agreed, smiling cheerfully.
“Well now that’s settled,” Yoongi said, standing up, “I’m going to sleep.”
The group finalized a few details for their surprise tomorrow before dispersing, not too long before (Y/n) came out of the bathroom. Not letting on that they had something planned wasn’t easy for them, but they could only hope that this surprise would be well worth it.
I walked along the path next to my seven friends, taking in the beautiful sights and smells all around me. It was so nice and refreshing to be here, especially with these seven people around me. I suddenly felt emotional and without realizing it a tear slid down my cheek.
“Noona!” Taehyung said from beside me. “Are you okay?” He wiped the tear away. “Did we do something wrong?”
“What?” I was shocked he came to that conclusion. “No, of course not! I just got emotional for a second, that’s all. Right now, I am just so happy.”
“Oh, good,” he sighed in relief. He wrapped an arm around my shoulder. “Well, I’m glad you like it. To be honest, I’m really enjoying this as well.” He flashed his signature boxy smile.
“Has anyone ever told you your smile is shaped like a box?” I asked him.
He thought for a second. “I don’t think so. Is it weird?”
I giggled. “No, it’s not weird. Actually, it’s pretty cute.”
“Noona, what about me?” Jungkook turned around. “Aren’t I cute?” He placed his palms on either side of his chin and blinked his eyes at me.
I laughed. “Yes, Kookie of course you are,” I said as I ruffled his hair.
“Taehyung is hogging noona,” Hoseok suddenly complained. “Share her with the rest of us!”
Taehyung tightened his grip on my shoulder, frowning at his hyung.
“Hey, there’s plenty of me to go around.” I laughed, politely removing Taehyung’s arm from its spot on my shoulder to go link my arm with Hoseok’s.
We spent about an hour just like this, walking and relaxing in the park while having a really nice time and enjoying each other’s company. I briefly thought about yesterday, but I didn’t feel sad. I felt happy. Happy that these boys wanted to welcome me into their family, and that they even went out of their way today to make sure I knew that.
